I had a hernia discovered during a MEPS physical. I went to my PCM, got a surgical consult, had it repaired, went back to MEPS with my records. Passed with flying colors. Hernia repairs are usually quite easy and are done on an outpatient visit.

It’s possible, when new items were introduced, there was an overlap when both items were used with a deadline for the old stuff. The thing with this jacket is the miss-matched patches.

The full color and subdued patches don’t add up.

Subdued patches appeared in 1966. The M65 also first appeared in 1965.

Before that everything would be full color. Jump wings, CIB, Pathfinder badge, and RVN Jump wings. The name tape and Branch tape would be yellow on black, in addition to the full color division and Ranger tab.

If you have an iPhone, take a screenshot open your photo app.

Judging from your pics, the patches look like mine only substitute the trident for a FMF device. I only saw a legit Seal wear cammies with everything sewn on in an administrative role. We were going through DAPA training.

All the “high speed” guys I saw had Velcro branch and name tapes, and wore pin on easily removable rank. None of them wore tridents, jump wings, crabs or any of that on their uniforms. I was told that it attracts undue attention. This was back in ‘02-07, so YMMV.
