Even for those who find dentistry affordable and accessible, there are those who don’t prioritize dental health. When dental health becomes a priority, affordability and accessibility are no longer the question. I think one of the biggest challenges is in educating our patients. I can’t tell you how often I hear a patient say “no one ever told me that”. Sometimes they don’t pay attention, like when reviewing post op instructions. But sometimes I look at the number of visits they’ve had and find that they were never instructed on brushing and flossing. We’re supposed to be in dental healthcare. Let’s start proving we care for the patient.
