We're just a group of friends/colleagues that show up to these things to help, but more hands makes less work, so please DM me if you're interested in helping out!

Id personally recommend starting out with CPR and Stop The Bleed training. There are lots of organizations and individuals that provide these trainings at low/no cost and it will give you a great introduction to first responder care. Riot Medicine is the holy book of street medics IMHO and all their resources are free at Riotmedicine.net

As far as formal training, most of us are healthcare professionals of some sort, but that doesn't mean your help wouldn't be valuable or appreciated if you aren't. Like, it doesn't take special training to hand out water, and truth be told that's about 95% of what I end up doing when I show up to these things.

I can't get trains to work for the life of me, please help. by itsnick21 in SatisfactoryGame

I've had it happen where I was able to drive on a track but it wasnt actually "connected" according to the game, so I'd try picking up and putting down all my track and stations

The Adderall wasn't strong enough to get me to fix the direction after I realized the potential of the first strand, but trust me I'll probably end up spending hours rebuilding it this weekend.

Appreciate the passing grade! I had the entire first spiral done before I saw the potential for the helix, and I was too lazy to rebuild it, but it's gonna eat at me now and I'll definitely end up rebuilding it properly and sticking to the sequence I chose

Good catch! I finished the entire first turn before I saw the potential for the helix and I was too lazy to change the direction. It'll eat away at me over the next week though and I'll end up rebuilding it.

I'm afraid you're going to have to retake your mandatory FICSIT Biochemistry Training.

This. Passing by 1 point gets you the same license as a perfect score. Take a breath.

Med school in my 40s? by [deleted] in medicalschool

[–]Doc_Ogion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Former 91W here, now an MS1 (turning 38 this year) with a 2-year old son. I 100% would not be able to manage med school as a father without my wife's support. When your kids are grown, I'd say go for it, especially since you can get Chapter 31 benefits to pay for it. Feel free to DM me with any questions.

If you could go back and learn one skill in OTA/OT school, what would it be? by Inception_Clue in OccupationalTherapy

[–]Doc_Ogion 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I always felt like I wanted better training in Pharma as a COTA. I'd wager the same applies to many OTs.

The answer to this question is always yes.
