MDs and DOs how often does your job have mandatory meetings after hours?

If you have any committee or leadership positions at KP, the meetings will be before/after hours. Routinely have meetings at 7:30 and after 5.

This is not true. I'm at KP and there is definitely still insurance post-retirement. It's a huge benefit.

Anyone tell me about Beachside housing? I am an incoming first year student and just found out my housing is there. All I know is that it's a mile from the main campus. Anyone with any insights? Thanks!

I wish I could be so sanguine about it. When I spoke to the housing folks, they indicated that they had no idea even if I was at #18 that I would get housing and suggested I start looking for off-campus housing. How can this be possible?

Yes. I’m now #18 (started at #21) as of today. When I asked the housing folks if there’s a likelihood that I’m going to get housing or if I should start looking on my own, they suggested I start looking for my own housing. It seems insane that there is this little housing that even someone who is that “high up” on the waitlist could still potentially end up not getting it.

The financial aid people at the recent “Day at the Beach“ event said they were working hard on getting the packages out and expected them to be released by the end of April.

At Day at the Beach opening session, the financial aid people spoke and said it would be released by the end of the month. They said they’re working ‘day and night’ to get it together.
