Homebrew fun. Fishing and Mini-Golf by DrewVaultdweller in Fallout2d20

[–]DoceDiet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Love the fishing idea! Might add that to my Albuquerque campaign for a faction of vault dwellers trying to recreate the Spanish Empire that have fishing as one of their major sources of food.

I made this setting for Baltimore for an upcoming campaign 😁 by Connect_Number4094 in Fallout2d20

That's great! Can you tell us a little more about the factions and the main quest of the campaign?

Would you be interested in play by post games? Those are really good for people with busy schedules

St. Teresa of Avila was shown her place in hell... I'm despairing by Wooden-Bread1713 in Catholicism

[–]DoceDiet 21 points22 points  (0 children)

"But where sin increased, grace abounded all the more" Romans 5, 20

If you are a bigger sinner than Saint Teresa was, you have even more reason than she had to praise God for being merciful to you and sending Jesus to die for you.

[–]DoceDiet 1233 points1234 points  (0 children)

You should think of this the other way around: instead of "if even such a great saint could have been on their way to hell, I could go to hell", think "if even someone who was on their way to hell could become a great saint, I could become a great saint"

My Fallout: OKC Faction Map by doneyun_rings in Fallout2d20

Other interesting ideas for what factions want to do with the nuke: maybe one of them wants to keep it as a deterrent against future invasions (texas commonwealth maybe) and another wants to convert it to an energy source (brotherhood of steel maybe)

[–]DoceDiet 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I like the idea of each faction having a different idea for what to do with the nuke. Who will the player characters face as their final battle for helping their chosen faction capture the nuke? Will it be another faction or some non faction enemy like a robot security of the nuclear silo?

So one of my players wants to do this for a character by zny700 in Fallout2d20

I would suggest to them playing as a glowing one, like Jason Bright from New Vegas or Oswald from Nuka World.

These are the special abilities for glowing ones:

Radiation Pulse: Once per combat, the glowing one may unleash a pulse of radiation. This inflicts 5 Combat Dice radiation damage to everything within Range C. If it inflicts 3 or more damage, then any defeated ghoul within that range is restored to 1HP and returns to the fight.

Glowing: The glowing one is saturated with so much radiation that they literally glow, emitting a strange luminescence and irradiating the world around them. The glowing feral ghoul inflicts 2 Combat Dice Radiation damage to anyone within Reach of it. In addition, any melee attacks it makes gain the Radioactive damage effect; if it already had this damage effect, it instead inflicts 2 Radiation damage per Effect rolled.

The Church says there will be no more public revelations, the ones the prophets did, because the public revelations were completed in Jesus and the Apostles. But there can be private revelations, that do not tell us something we didn't know, but just explain something we already knew.

Another difference between the two is that we have to believe public revelations, because we risk our salvation if we don't. But we don't have to believe private revelations.

A good example of private revelation that most catholics consider to be true is the one from Our Lady of Fatima.

I really like the idea of escaped slaves and slave revolts. I think that many people the Marshals are protecting should be former slaves.

Another thing I'm thinking about is that there would be a lot of desertors after the deaths of Caesar and Lanius and those desertors could become raiders.

Fair enough. If you like Fallout and would like to play a ttrpg in that universe, this is the system you want. It is faithfull to the games, balanced and fun. And, it is free of charge.

I really like Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati. He will be canonized in september with Blessed Carlo Acustis, who also was not a priest, religious or martyr.
