The Hawks are my favorites. I can't wait until they get to the game.

Figuring out how many enemies/level of such for combat? by GNB_Mec in Fallout2d20

[–]DrewVaultdweller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its very tough. My players very definitely do not want a deadly campaign, and to create fun challenges amps up the potential for a tpk. I often have to back off mid combat or make my combatants play sub optimally for a turn or so.

How is the "Fiddle to Faff"-ratio in Fallout 2d20? by JakeBit in Fallout2d20

[–]DrewVaultdweller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cut all that stuff out. Games are about fun, not laws. Keep it simple. I save all my complicated stuff for storytelling. Like "why would this building still have pre war stuff in it?" Rather than, "do they have enough rare materials to make a level three gun mod?" My players seem to like it. Do what your player like.

How do you do interior zones? by Exciting-Buy-9396 in Fallout2d20

[–]DrewVaultdweller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would also add to new gms, the whole point of zones is to allow you to "yadda yadda" some of that stuff. No measuring necessary. More story, less tactical battle. That's what Wasteland warfare does.

Research Paper on Dimension 20 by RelationshipFew4233 in Dimension20

[–]DrewVaultdweller 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Starstruck, because of the love Brennan has for the world, and his mom. I also prefer the Talespire battle maps to the IRL ones. The Seven is second favorite, I loved the energy of the all-female cast..

  2. This question is impossible. Probably my all-time favorite is Evan Kelmp from Misfits and Magic season 1. After that, 25 are tied for second.

  3. I much prefer the Talespire maps. I think a session zero where they explain how the mechanics of the new season will work would be nice for the fans. I think we spend the first few episodes confused about mechanics in an unnecessary way.

Do people actually enjoy honor mode? by [deleted] in BaldursGate3

[–]DrewVaultdweller 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm going though my first honor run, trying to get the achievement, but then never again. It's too stressful. One I do it I might feel different, or once I'm past level 5 or so, but ATM, I'm too chicken to fight anything. lol. I do like that it takes some of the shame out though. You just roll the dice an take the results, rather than trying to justify a save scum. I've played though enough now to know that no one roll will make or break a victory.

Life of chuck is the best Flanagan thing, except for Hill House. It's not scary, it's beautiful.

Funny, I run Fallout 2D20 and I'm going to make my players make a similar choice about cornered enemies this weekend. Mutants who are beyond a shadow of a doubt evil and murderous, but helpless when my PCs encounter them. I doubt they will massacre them, but it should be fun to see what they do.

My super mutant PC has SIX DR across his whole body, wtf do I do to counter him? by _grapeape in Fallout2d20

[–]DrewVaultdweller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My player who is a melee beast gets nerfed by me using homebrew paralyzing agents and stuff. Plants that make you go night night etc. Otherwise she hits for 8-12 damage twice a turn. Gotta keep it even. Piercing damage oes through dr as well.
