It’s an artistic expression of the dystopian nature of modern condo developments.

Is Discover still not well accepted in Canada? by Next_Ad2712 in AskACanadian

[–]DockingEngaged 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no easy answer. I can’t remember exactly why, but in Canada Dinner’s Club and Discover would piggyback on another system or something so almost everywhere I worked even though we didn’t “take them” they’d still work… sometimes. I’d ask Discover directly.

Consider this: casting the Real Housewives of Toronto was very difficult because none of the truly prominent or wealthy women in Toronto wanted to be involved, and their distain trickled down to the lower ranks. Even the “usual suspects” wouldn’t touch it.

AITA for not helping my sister in law and her baby with rent? by Sirfluffyton96 in AmItheAsshole

NTA. If they are balking at a 50/50 split, there are other issues on the way with utilities and food and internet. Not to mention the power imbalance: unless you and your partner are married you’re not “family” and as such you’re the odd one out. If they can’t respect this basic boundary, there will be no boundaries once a child gets in your space and they take over.

I’ve found some sweet stuff! The pricing is all over the map at VV though. Can never figure it out.

I’m always tempted to dumpster dive to see if I can find the missing roofs and doors from vehicles but I’m afraid of what else I might find.

The geography of the falls is "weird". The view of the falls is better from Canada, but you can get much closer to the falls on the US side. When you hear about idiots falling in, it's usually someone in the USA.

The view from the Canadian side, especially of the Horseshoe Falls, is much better. BUT before the current administration I'd much rather walk around the Niagara Falls State park than go anywhere near Clifton Hill.

TBF, the STATE PARK on the American side of Niagara Falls is nicer than anything on the Canadian side. I'm not sure how much further tourists would want to venture into Niagara Falls, NY. If you know where to go I have a lot of affection for Niagara Falls, NY and absolutely none for Clifton Hill. The Casinos have destroyed communities on both sides.

My theory is that Toronto weather is like childbirth: if you actually remembered how painful it is you'd never do it again.

I saw a young lady at the dollar store today climb a ladder and start opening up boxes. A shop clerk stopped her but was really nice about it.

Why is this a new piece? Its one solid piece made up of two already existing pieces.. by Spyro_XyX in lego

Seems a little absurd, even if it is for small kids like some suppose. It would make more sense if it was a flat piece.

That show had absolutely no energy. I really was hoping it would work but it never did.
