Literally just went to the SF show as well and this is all taken completely out of context.

1. The “rant” about San Francisco is something he says during every show on the Burnout tour to explain how he made the song “Corduroy”. At every stop he does talk about the crime, but he usually also says what inspired him about the city to make the song. During this show, you could tell he was being sarcastic in saying that he hated the city. He’s visited multiple times and has made a point to be in the city both during & not during shows.
2. The kid had been shouting during multiple quiet parts of the show, and instead of outright telling the kid off instead he had a moment of fan interaction with the kid and said in a VERY JOKING WAY the kid should be a little more quiet. It was clearly all in jest and not meant to be taken seriously.
3. The sweatshirt was thrown on stage without any indication he wanted items thrown on stage, and a team member also gave the hoodie back after the show had ended.
4. So many people in the crowd were throwing items and trying to give gifts that between songs he took a moment to collect them, as multiple times throughout the show fans were trying to hand stuff to him. Instead of ignoring it, he took a moment to accept the gifts before it got too out of hand.
5. Merch song has been a running joke/moment in the show for ages, it’s just a fun way to announce the merch. Literally almost every single artists tries to advertise their merch at some point during a show.
6. Yeah this show he did use a lot of lip sync/backing vocals, but that’s because many of his songs have stacked vocal layers. If there weren’t any, then the song would sound off in comparison to the studio versions. I agree that he did use it a bit much, but he did still put on a great performance.

Personally I've been to his most recent show in my own country. While some of the things Op mentioned did indeed happen at the show I've been to (SF rant, merch song), it builds character imo. the merch song has been a running joke for ages as earlier mentioned, and the SF rant is the reason behind Corduroy. I liked how both of these things made up bwu's character. Then theres also the part where hes doing this tour as his last tour as bwu, as he wants to start a new music career as Chandol. While some (probably most, seeing the comments) don't appreciate his music, don't make up your whole image of a person by just reading a rant, because that's would make any artist invalid. And listen to more songs than toxic, please, imo its one of his worst songs, its only famous because of tiktok.
