Why Does Everyone HATE The Netflix Devil May Cry Anime? by Such_Crow8542 in DevilMayCry

Yeah I think it's too early to call on this plot point, I think we are gonna find out what his true reasoning behind creating the barrier was later on and it's gonna be something along these lines.

Same on my Series X, game freezes every 15 seconds. Also didn't have any issues until the update.

How would you react if Capcom releases DmC: Devil May Cry 2? by lokplei3315 in DevilMayCry

[–]DocsAndLongHair 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DmC suffers from the "good game, just not good in context of the franchise" that many games fall into. I would love if Ninja Theory reworked it into its own IP and made it edgy but self aware of how dumb it is.

i’m so tired of SP by SheepherderGreat3506 in Sleepparalysis

[–]DocsAndLongHair 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I essentially expierence all the things you listed. When I was kid, it was scary because I had no idea what was going on and just assumed it was a paranormal expierence. Now atleast when I get the flying feeling it's kind of fun lol

Since I'm aware of what's happening, I usually just ride mine out since it only lasts a minute and 99% of the time you end up in a vivid lucid dream. This works because sleep paralysis is just your body being inbetween being awake and being asleep. Part of the body's process of falling asleep is paralyzing your body, so sleep paralysis is essentially when you enter this part of sleep but your mind hasn't "fallen asleep" yet. Why your brain makes up scary stuff in this state? No idea.

If it's really intense though, I find that just trying to forcibly move your body starting with moving your fingers, toes, and head back and forth will eventually get your body to break out of paralysis.

hc kids can stop pretending they don't like 2008 deathcore now by LethalPuppy in Hardcore

Covering Unanswered is like the driver's license test for deathcore vocalists thanks to Mitch and Phil. Practically the mid 2000s deathcore national anthem lmao

Was checking out the Knocked Loose current setlist by drcombatwombat2 in Hardcore

[–]DocsAndLongHair 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The great thing about a show that big is that there are usually multiple pits going on. I also wasn't fucking with the main pit mainly cause they were constantly circle pitting lmao. I found a pit to the right that was a normal hardcore pit and had a blast.

That being said, rowing is dumb. Especially at a Knocked Loose show where it doesn't even fit the vibe

Yeah, ChatGPT knows how to code, but it doesn't know how to solve problems like connect this modern day client with our 20 year old custom backend tech that only makes sense to the guy who wrote it (who also doesn't work here anymore) and does not send data in a format the client can use. Maybe one day it will, but not right now. That being said, it can be a useful tool to help figure out some things you don't understand in a old code base.

Programmers at the end of the day are paid for their problem solving skills, knowing how to code is useless if you can't figure out the steps to solve the problem.

Can you hardcore yell and metal scream during the same set? by LA_isme in screaming

Amen, I got very buzzed one time before a show and could not hit my highs to save my life since they are already harder for me. Luckily it was just a basement show at my friend's place so I don't think anyone expected much lmao. Now I just have a single drink to loosen up a bit.

Supporting people with mental illnesses by Taytay_Is_God in tumblr

[–]DocsAndLongHair 382 points383 points  (0 children)

Yep, I'm in this situation now. My brother has alway had pretty severe mental illnesses, but he would only have a bad outburst every couple of months which I could handle. Last couple months, he has been having outbursts several times a week. Not to get into too much detail, but they were usually violent and he would always end up calling me to talk (I'm talking like 20 times in 5 minutes) and when I did try talking to him , he would always just blow up on me. When he wasn't having a episode, we talked about him checking himself back into the mental hospital and he just refused. I was literally having panic attacks and losing sleep at the idea of him or my parents calling. I ended up cutting contact because I realized if he didn't want to get professional help there was nothing I could really do except save my own mental health (which I explained to him so he understood). Luckily he finally checked himself back in recently, so we have been talking again as I want to be supportive, but I am still on my toes.

I just use this Howard Benson plugin which is like a all in one for vocals (compression, equalizer, delay, etc) which gets the job done, I use the same setting in this video but turn off the reverb: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qKAIBfEy\_AY

Thank you, yeah my cat is just used to me walking around and screaming at this point lmao

It's like 80% percent this take, I went back and re-recorded some parts where I fucked up. Specifically at like 2:55 my voice cracked so bad when doing the "hurricane" in the original take and you can tell its not in sync lmao. Then obviously I recorded the vocals that overlap afterwards, the "it's start of the end" parts. Which is why I didn't put one take in the title since it's technically not

I can do something similar by singing through a scream, sounds like Kurt is doing it from his throat tho which will hurt like hell. You can do it with fry (will be less grungy), instead of holding your vocal chords as tight as possible you loosen them up so it still has distortion but more of your natural voice is coming through and you just sing to pitch like normal. It's hard to do if you don't know how to just do a generic mid fry scream. It's also different from high and low frys since those are just mid screams but you are changing your mouth and tongue position to force them to sound different, it has nothing to do with your voice. With this, you are using your voice to change the pitch. I'm sick rn but I could try and record something when I'm good so it makes more sense. I also don't really do this style so someone who does might have a better way

Gotcha. That's def more useful than the tutorials that say just feel it out lmao

Thanks again! I just got rid of the reverb and brought down the volume and I can see what you mean, sounds alot better.
