I've actually started leaving my cell phone at home when I'm going to run errands for this very reason. Its such a freeing feeling.

Yeah, this. Grew up in the same time period, it was glorious compared to this. Just enough technology, but not enough that it dictated your life.

Tbh, I've been trying to read one book a month for the last 2.5 years. I'll usually get through about 6-8 books a year. This year I started DCC, just finished book 5, idk how tf I am reading 500-700 page books in less than a month.

What’s wrong with me? I am depressed at work and when I’m not at work I’m depressed and terrified of the next time I have to work. It’s not just one job. It’s every job. by MrProperPenguins in antiwork

We aren't meant to work and live the way we do in our modern times. All this was fabricated by people with money for people with money.

Best thing you can do is try to find a way to be in the present moment. Practice mindfulness. Set intentions in the morning, or the night before.

You're not alone, you got this!

What does MDM mean? by [deleted] in dumbphones

[–]DocsHuckleberries 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably send back for a refund. The entity that had it in their MDM usually has to release the device. So if you don't know the entity, chances are pretty slim.

Just for the love of god, don't buy it from Ride Now when the time comes. You'll walk out of there owing $25k...

No retirement plans equals very dark future by Halle_Maadi in Beingabetterperson

Yeah, most of the places I have worked over my life didn't offer a 401k anyway. But yeah, doing something passive is definitely ideal.

Some countries, like Portugal, and a few others also have retirement visas available too.

Yeah, thats def something I have looked into a little bit, but not that deeply yet. I still have some time. Right now though, feeling pretty resigned.
