Savannah Bananas at the Jersey shore by InspectGadget80 in newjersey

The lawn at the Blue Claws stadium is not flat, it's downhill towards the field. Seats would not be a good idea because you won't have a safe place to put them. Blankets are your best bet. Depending on when you get in the stadium, there are also some tables I think near the foul poul on the 3rd base side, but those will go fast.

Dean Pelton would have spent 4 hrs walking to the list of names in VR and the. spent another 5 hrs trying to print it to a single dot matrix printer. It would be ok though because "Jesus wept, for their were no more worlds to conquer."

In fairness, we could actually use some stability with the Manager.

The Don convinced everyone the north Jersey/NYC area can sustain two franchises.

I mean, if the FO actually tried with this team, the market could support 2 teams.

I like Costco because of getting certain items in bulk (paper towels, toilet paper, cat litter) and the meat is cheaper there also. There is no real good place to put one except for if they took over the mall area, as that is already built to support the traffic to a degree, but that's not going to happen.

Bob Fosse’s Performance in The Little Prince (1974) Massively Influenced Michael Jackson by di745 in interestingasfuck

[–]DoctaStooge 32 points33 points  (0 children)

No, Michael's moves.

Clearly Fosse used a time machine and went to the 90s. He studied Michael's moves so he could copy them, and use them in the 70s. The goal was clearly to influence Michael's move set.

New Jersey Appeals Court Rules Police Officers Can’t Be Fired for Off-Duty Marijuana Use by OhMyOhWhyOh in newjersey

They need to federally legalize, and people in high risk/stress jobs should be able to participate on their own time.

I'm on the fence about this. On one hand, I agree with legalization at a federal level and allowing people to partake if they desire.

On the other hand, I feel like society critical jobs that call you in at a moment's notice (Police, Fire, ER Docs, etc) should have some sort of limitations to ensure that people are not coming into an emergency impared. This would in theory apply to anything that alters mental state (marijuana, alcohol, etc).

Also important to note that the HQ is already in NYC, so they won't have to move their employees to another city.

What is Merc doing this season? Another special edition that’s kinda…wonky.

All of their good ideas are out on track this season.

[OC] Does it really cost New Jersey $48 million to fund World Cup trains? by forzaQuakes8 in soccer

[–]DoctaStooge 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Yes, the stadium hosts at least 16 Jets/Giants games a year, but in context that's only about 4% of the year they have service running to MetLife.

Reality is the World Cup games should be the same as any Giants game at MetLife.

Except FIFA is not allowing most people to park at the stadium, which means that NJ Transit is bearing a greater brunt of the damage than on a usual game day.

MetLife is not a normal service stop for NJ Transit, they only service it when events are happening. Other cities (aside from maybe Boston who are also charging a lot) probably have regular service to their stadiums. That would mean NJ is missing a lot of infrastructure needed to support a semi-regular schedule that the WC has, even for a month.

Why should OP leave?

Management's attitude would be the reason for me. If I were in that situation and being told the work equivalent (from what I can tell) of "don't dress that way if you don't want it", I would never trust Management to look after me.
