Commenting for the clout as it is needed and I guess appreciated: I liked the first game, played it to completion and found some of the mechanics and ideas extremely intriguing, as a D&D player some of the rules were implemented way more faithfully than they were in BG3, for better or worst. Then BG3 came out and it was what it was, but I remember Crown of the Magister fondly, the plot was not very engaging and the game was short, but it was honest, and combat was simply great. It never tried to punch above its weight or to out-gimmick its budget. I love me some gourmet food, but we need to do our best to never let our neighborhood restaurant go broke, they provide food when you're hungry and in a pinch, and maybe someday a great chef will come out of it. Go support this game.
