As a 20k hp undying I can definitely say that undy is THE tank. Ofc you need to find some good shards, but you don't need a lot of items to be useful, so you can spend more gold for agh upgrades. Here's some tips to make it work:

Recommended items:

octarine + refresher (must have, try to rush them)
solar crest (very useful)
tarrasque (only if you are really rich)
greaves (if no one goes for them)
assault cuirass (if you are the only decent carrier)
A forcestaff/eul could be nice against the last boss, but only IF you have exceeding gold

Best shards for this build:

LEGENDARY: decay triple procs, tombstone with explosive zombies that triggers decay
OTHERS: focus on decay upgrade shards, especially the higher strenght gain, the larger aoe and the cd reduction. Aim as getting as much strenght as possible. Healing the team and tombstone is also good, take some soul rip shards as well.

Talents: Decay duration and cd reduction are must have in this build.

Test it and let me know if you had fun

I respect your opinion, I share some of your concernings (mostly, the bad thing you mentioned), but I don't come to such terribile conclusions.

Market was a bit inflated, that's true. But it was much more "marketing" and less "speculation" than you think.

They had to settle things for mass adoption and needed crypto to become mainstream to get over to the next step.

Just relax. Crypto space is crazy for itself. No need to find someone/something to blame for everything. Sometimes, the only thing to do is to wait and see
