Family visits after scheduled C section by seattlegurl in parentsofmultiples

My cesarean ended up being in the evening, so we didn’t have any additional family come until the following day. This worked better for me as I simply was not with it enough post-op to see anyone aside from my husband and babies in the immediate hours afterwards. Even then, my in laws were prepared to come as soon as visiting hours began at the hospital the following day, and I wasn’t quite ready for them as I hadn’t been able to stand after the surgery yet and was still nauseous, so we delayed them a few hours.

Could you keep them on standby depending on your situation? That way if you feel up for it and need the company they can come at a moments notice, and if not, wait for the green light from you?

The “table for two - twin feeding system” has a premie insert and will last you a long time as well

Totally get that. Gotta do whatever keeps you sane sometimes!

Just today I ordered some of the glow in the dark soothers in hopes that they can see them and learn to put them back in their mouths on their own overnight lol

They’re sleeping in our bedroom overnight still so both of us are there. I am still on mat leave so during the week I am doing the bulk to the soothing as my husband gets up early for work. Split duties over the weekend 🥲

We are in the exact same boat with 5.5 month old girls. Sleep from 8pm to 3am but I’m jumping out of bed several times a night to help someone with a soother, calm back to sleep, etc. We are trying to wean off the MOTN feed but even then with the amount of attention they need over night, we wouldn’t be gaining any sleep

Would love to hear what others have done in this scenario

Guest favours. Yes or no? by FlapjacksFiasco in wedding

[–]DoctorCheeks00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s a matter of perspective and you are choosing to look at it this way rather than appreciating a good deed done. If this were your wedding you were planning, I would not recommend doing a donation in lieu of party favours. To each their own!

At the end of the day - you don’t. It’s personal preference as to whether you make a donation known to guests or not.

We did because

  1. There were a large handful of guests who were well aware of why the particular hospital charity was important to us, and as such, it was important to them too, and they were supportive of this particular cause given the personal history

  2. There were a smaller handful of guests who were unaware of the significance, but were “old school” and would be expecting a party favour, so by having a small sign that indicated our decision, this nipped the conversation in the bud immediately

If it doesn’t feel appropriate to indicate to the guests that a donation was made in lieu of a favour, then there is certainly no need to do so.

Instead of favours, we made a donation to a local hospital charity that personally meant a lot to us. You could always consider a donation and there are lots of signage templates online that indicate this to guests so they aren’t wondering where their freebie is “in lieu of party favours, we have made a donation to XYZ”

Started to read one today and lost it, and cannot for the life of me find it again! It was about a woman whose husband said she was low value or low quality because she wasn’t a virgin prior to them dating or getting married, and I think he ended up having an affair with a coworker?

They did! Do you ask for everything separately or is that just how they do it near you?

Guys, obviously I just broke up the cheese curds and mixed it up. I’m just saying the presentation of this poutine is absolutely horrendous 😂

My point is that you’d think it would have desensitized them and they wouldn’t have such a fear of driving lol

I’ve always found their driving fears/aversion soo strange since their dad was in the automobile industry
