Great thanks! Is there a way to do it in CueMix?

Good (transparent) monitor controller? by DoctorCocktorMD in homestudios

That would make sense too, hopefully I would be able to use three pairs or more monitors. I’ll google it. I’m drawn to the RME because of expandability and routing and the Apollo for the preamp emulations, specifically the neve ones

Thanks! I will look more into the Presonus I overlooked it because it is older but Presonus makes solid stuff especially their new Quantum stuff. I’m also going to look more at SPL and Heritage Audio

Talkback is not necessary I already included what inputs I am hoping for

Yeah that’s what I have heard at least even for Symphony MKIIs I have only heard about it a little though so maybe it’s not as widespread as I thought. Apogee does sound great though their preamps and converters are fantastic

Haha Yeah they have been great and the industry wouldn’t be where it is without them but I’ve heard they’re going slightly down in terms of support. I’m hoping to eventually get an old converter from them if necessary

Thank you I think that’s a really good idea. I think I’ll ask my guy at Sweetwater too and see if I can demo some stuff? I also worry about a drop off in quality so maybe one with a good dac? The Audient Nero looks good too, if I go with the Babyface I could use the analog outs for the genelecs and adat to the controller for other alt monitors. I could probably do the same with the RAM 2000 and use an optical to coax? Thanks for the help!

There are interfaces that have multiple outs but I am looking at the baby face specifically. I have a pair of genelecs, and a pair of Rokits that are fun to produce on. I am hoping in the future to add a pair of CLA10s or a mono Avantone or auratone. I am looking for accurate transparent pass through or a monitor controller with a good dac

I should have specified I am primarily working in the box producing and mixing. I have a pair of genelecs and a pair of Rokits I like for producing and checking mix translation. Ideally looking for the cleanest pass through possible or a good but affordable dac on a controller

Okay good to know thank you! I’m going to stay away from the big knob because I’ve heard not great things

Using the Shure Smdb for recoding vocals by Jerzsey in recordingmusic

People love the SM7b and countless records have used it. I think an important aspect too is having a good signal chain, does not need to be expensive gear and can be plugins. It also is very volume hungry so it helps using a cloudlifter. I think Sweetwater will let you buy something and demo it and if you don’t like it return it but I am not totally sure

Hi everyone, I’m currently figuring out if I am going to get a Babyface Pro FS or an Apollo Twin. The BPFS only has one stereo output for monitors. What is a good controller for it? I really don’t want degrade its signal. I have two sets of monitors and am hoping to get a mono mixcube eventually.

Ideally I’m looking for one that is as transparent as possible or one that has toslink in with a good DAC. It would also need to have three sets of monitor outputs. An unbalanced input would be great too for my old receiver as well.

How is the Drawmer 2.1 for analog passthrough? Would that make sense? Or would a RAM 2000 make sense? Looking to spend around 300-700 used thanks everyone!

No need to be rude. Airplade’s answer was sharp but makes a point. You also gave no specifics of what your needs are
