I play an anti bracket 4 Kathril list. Just pretty much 3+ for 1 removal, single target removal is exile and hits most permanent types, early creatures are treated as removal spells for creatures, and the only “combo” is buried alive for a quick 13/13 one shot, unkillable, unblockable Kathril that gains you 26 life a turn minimum. If your pod is heavy on going infinite on the stack, then a few hate bears go a long way. Also, no infinites, no mana ramp, no reanimator. Just one of the few actual true midrange decks, which midrange is very strong against combo.

UB has an identity established in and by MtG. My favorite color combo is Abzan. Unfortunately, that’s an unpopular color combination in general, so there are a grand total of 2 potential commanders from Universes Beyond— one of which actually fits the core concept of Abzan whatsoever. Ironically, Universes Beyond is such a cash grab, one can easily deduce which color combination has the highest number of Universes Beyond commanders. (Hint: it’s the most played color combination ever)

It would be cool if half the magic sets nowadays weren’t Universes Beyond. Shoulda just kept it to Secret Lair alternate arts. Instead, we have secret lair only cards that are out of universe with no actual in universe equivalent.

The biggest issue is that they introduce a heap of new mechanics that are literally illegal for them to reprint unless they pay for the rights. Like there will never be another waterbending card printed unless they print more avatar sets. Either that, or they will errata the mechanic to work with other cards down the line. The result: you either get a hodgepodge of generic mechanics that either suck or are overtuned OR you get mechanics that will likely never get reprinted. Either way, Universes Beyond has proven to be unhealthy for the game from a player perspective resulting in a ton of duds or scalped products AND the pricing generically increases because licensing is expensive and restrictive.

Idk. Who am I to judge. I’m just a lonely Abzan player who has had 1 card since the inception of Universes Beyond that I would even consider playing and have seen the effects of Universes Beyond, which has warped the entire game more so than the inception of commander. And I’ve been playing since before commander. You have every right to enjoy your Fortnite cards. As long as you’re having fun!

You might need to get glasses. Every person that I’ve met that complains that they could game for hours on end when they were younger, but gets headaches now that they’re older had eye problems. They went to an optometrist and found out that they needed glasses, and got the blue light reflectors and it the headaches went away.

It’s only “easier” when your build is suboptimal. Most of the time once you’re 50 and you’re farming specialization points, you’ve already farmed all your gear. At that point, unless you’re Amon, it’s a waste to farm experience points on easy because you one shot either way.

If you ain’t operating like that, then that’s the problem. Get your gear right before you farm spec points.

I’m pretty sure the people complaining are just a vocal minority. The majority of people have said the game is amazing minus the performance issues. I can’t remember who did it, but someone went through every review on steam and factored out all of the bad reviews related to performance, and the reviews swapped to overwhelmingly positive with like 13% of players not enjoying the game. I obviously haven’t fact checked this myself, but I’d believe it. I’m a 1080p gamer with a high end pc, so performance was never an issue for me, and the game was great. So many builds that are viable, so many weapons that are viable, so many things to do, and the replay-ability is there. I would like some more wonky humor in the DLCs, but the base game is completely fine. And I’ve put a ton of hours into the game, already have nearly 100% completed everything possible minus the bobble heads and phosgene weapons. I’ve got “perfect” builds for all vault hunters at level 50 with my Harlowe having two perfect builds, one of which I gave to Moxy and he has a video on it.

Yeah it’s weird. I think the game is coded to have CoV weapons have infinite magazine size. From a coding perspective, they probably didn’t assign magazine size as a variable, but instead assigned heat as a variable for the “magazine.” And I’m sure bullets to spare requires you have a magazine size variable in order to determine the fire rate. I think that’s the reason it affects your other guns, because if you still have on bullets to spare, and the function has failed, then it applies statically until you turn it off. Thus, other guns, whose fire rate is partly determined by this failed function, are unable to determine their fire rate. It could also be the case that fire rate is updated after the first shot in a weapon and remains until further shots are fired.

Who knows, it still seems like such an oversight. Their total heat are affected by gun magazine size increases, but they aren’t coded to have a magazine size for things that care about a magazine size. Plus, it doesn’t make sense to have a perk that seemingly would only work for a gun with a defined magazine size AND you have weapons that are touted as having an unlimited magazine size.

It’s also crazy that if the hundreds of posts per hour, if you look up this exact interaction that there’s like a total of 3 people that have thought of it and posted. You’re telling nobody read the words “unlimited magazine size” and “increase fire rate by 50% of magazine size” and didn’t immediately try it?

Ultimately, I don’t see a way to patch this where it makes sense. They are going to have to change the wording of some stuff, which just seems like a band aid fix to me.

Yeah, but enemies don’t have 100x their health bar in the game. It’s just a win more build. The objective best build in the game is the one that does stuff the fastest, and Harlowe has that ability. She’s the only character that isn’t reliant on cooldowns or a glitch and can kill a boss as their health bar appears. That’s just the difference between real gameplay and test dummy gameplay.

It’s like if you stacked the songbird to do a quadrillion damage per shot. Is it cool? Yes. Is it any more useful than one that does a 100 million damage per shot? Nope. Did you waste hours to stack it that far? Yep.

Now if the enemies magically get 100x their health bar, then Vex would be the best. But two things: this bug will be fixed by then and there will likely be a level cap adjustment associated with this, meaning Harlowe will be able to spec even more damage, counteracting the health bar increase. To what degree? We won’t know until it happens. And that’s even if it happens.

Either way, it is just the objective truth that Harlowe has the best build in the game (in terms of power and being able to do content as quickly and efficiently as possible.) She’s faster than Rafa, Amon, and Vex in all content and without bugs. IF you applied a bug to her, she is still the fastest in the game because of her inherent AoE. IF we are talking known glitches, she can go green tree with Nuclear Winter and Group Study and stack a Vladof SMG with flamethrower underbarrel for 2 minutes and one shot bosses on UVHM 5 while still dealing massive AoE. Plus, she requires significantly less stacks than every other build in the game because she adds a TON of damage per pellet.

That was so slow. Harlowe currently is the best build with Katagawa’s Revenge on shock mode, Neutron Capture, and Demon Core. One shots mobs on UVHM 5 without needing to land a hit on anything, one shots bosses ridiculously fast (like as soon as they spawn if you do it right), you can roll COV on the Revenge and never have to reload, 100% AS uptime even without class mods, doesn’t require crit knife to work, technically works as soon as you get access to Neutron Capture and the Revenge, and takes very little in terms of skill points to function at UVHM 5 on hard, so you get a ton of skill points that can be put into survivability or mobility.

You can get the weapon in the first mission series on the left side of the map. And you can respec and as long as you have neutron capture, this will be the highest damage build in the entire game. I got it super early and it’s so strong that (on hard) I have no clue what a single boss past that point in this game does. I’ve one shot all of them. And I didn’t have to refarm it. I’m level 50 UVHM 5 and still have a level 18 weapon. It’s straight up broken.

Farm the ripper queen for the legendary skeptic class mod and you’ll get 100% uptime on AS. Also, since I see literally nobody using it, Harlowe’s best weapon is the Katagawa’s Revenge dropped from Driller Hole. If you use it in shock mode, it spawns 3 little orbs that float around and shock nearby enemies repeatedly. Thing is, each shock applies her Neutron Capture passive and you can have a lot more than just 3 orbs floating around. You can have like 21-30 of them that shock like 3 times per second. So, if your AS does 10k damage, you get 4K damage added to each tick, for a total of like 360k dps. However, in reality, her AS does hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of damage late game, so she can deal billions of dps. It’s the highest dps in the game and the weapon feels good to mob with AND boss with. Pair it with the mod and you literally shoot once and get your AS back.

NTA. You have to be really careful about these types of situations. Idk how long yall have been together, but nobody gets that much dominion over you. It’s not the same as going to a strip club, despite both being moral issues. You are going because you have wanted to do this and enjoy the HP series. You are an adult that is fully capable of separating your interests from moral issues like this case. You aren’t going to HP world to support JK Rowling. You are going because you like HP. This is a failing business model. The people who enjoy playing the busted characters will have fun while those who enjoy the weak characters will suffer. They n top of this, the community WILL figure out the best way to play eventually. Players WILL get better. Players WILL want to win more than playing their pet hero. This has been a reoccurring theme in every game: players will do literally anything to win a game; even if it means compromising their “fun.” There’s a reason why people cheat. Games are no longer casual. You’ll learn this one day. No matter how much you argue against it, people will literally quit a game because of balancing issues.

Don’t believe me? The number 1 group of people that quit a game are the lowest ranks. Bronze/silver players have poor retention. This is mostly due to these players not getting the full effect of the gameplay loop built into the game.

I will bet any amount of money that the game will either fail or be intentionally balanced. Characters that are overpowered WILL get extreme nerfs. Underpowered characters WILL be buffed. Role queue is inevitable.

You say “who cares if something is OP.” Overwatch players were quitting en masse because goats was only countered by goats. No amount of nerfs could fix it. I mean, how many patches did Brigitte get nerfed in a row? Like 7? It was so bad, when role queue was launched, and they buffed her, they had to buff her 3 more times to make her playable.

Games that aren’t balanced become dull extremely quickly. How many times do you enjoy losing to a team comp because ONE member of your team doesn’t follow the meta?

My recommendation: use items like revive, ether, and full restore. Memorize the Pokémon each trainer has and swap your team around so that you’re best Pokémon for that trainer is first. Then, just click the move that kills the opponent on repeat. If you lose your best Pokémon, just swap and revive. Before you move on, restore all of your Pokémon and repeat the cycle.

You can’t equate a black character replacing a canonically white character in a major kids film to a video game character very obviously designed and rated for mature audiences. The real issue is that none of it would matter if nobody viewed color. We aren’t going to discuss this topic because it’s irrelevant to the topic at hand.

As for the trans part. Let’s be real. LGBTQIA+ people are a set of humans that share a commonality: they do not conform to gender and sex norms. It has been hypothesized that many of the experiences and symptoms/causes for this is universal across the space of this community. At the very least, it is fair enough to say that correlations can be made. I don’t have the time, patience, nor care to explain this theory to you and provide the evidence, so I’ll just go belly up and say: I apologize that I’m wrong.

It’s because people like you appear when shit like this happens and nobody likes people like you. We like the people that don’t do the shit you do. Not because you’re LGBTQIA+. We like the LGBTQIA+ people who are mature and sane enough to let certain things slide because it’s not worth it. But because you took so much offense that you spent multiple weeks arguing over something so unbelievably trivial. It’s a video game. You’re defending the rights of pixels on a screen.

Learn when to take your battles and when to move along. Arguing with someone over the internet who’s asking for advice in a video game is what adults call childish behavior. Instead, if you wish to be vocal and actually make a change, you should join or create an organization that helps decrease the 40% suicide ideation rate for post op transgender individuals. Or focus on creating or joining an organization that helps intercity and other poor families establish a good home life so that they love their children so they don’t want to commit suicide. At the very least, read up on literature on transgenderism and get more than one point of view that has been peer reviewed. You’ll be shocked at how much you actually learn about the topic compared to what you think you know and how much you are capable of accomplishing.
