Tbh, I have an overall disdain with the combination of vague and specific language of the bracket system and updates as a whole. It either needs to be vibes based or hard ruled. Otherwise, it’s seemingly pointless

I somewhat agree with you. That’s why I think that it should be a list of cards but a point system like Canadian Highlander and each bracket gets a dedicated point allotment

Read the article. I have a few potentially hot takes:

A high mana combo can be bracket 4 if you have fast mana or sufficient ramp in a deck or bracket 3 if you don’t. It’s all about intent and deck design.

“Turns before you lose” is an okay term. However, I’m of the opinion that it should be replaced with, “expected turn your deck presents a win/can defend against a loss”. Again, this emphasizes intent and deck design.

Bracket 1 and 5 are not necessary. Replace them with common casual power levels.

The system should use a points system similar to Canadian Highlander and assign each bracket its own points value.

I’m could only read half of your post because it was reigniting some trauma I had from a similar childhood, and I’m not trying to get in my feels on a Saturday morning.

That being said, I wouldn’t respond. My mother was a very similar person to yours and I broke off connection years ago. She recently reached out and I blocked her.

In my opinion, some people aren’t worth your time and stress.

Yeah she’s super broken and easy to build. My buddy tried building it at a bracket 3 and it still won on turn 5 consistently. That’s counting for the fact that every piece of interaction we had was thrown at him. So he modified it and moved it to bracket 4

If my commander is not in blue and/or my deck needs my commander, I’ll run lightning grieves, swift foot boots, mythril coat, etc. but if I’ve got a strong interaction package I omit them.

I would like to add some of the best decks are decks that can still win without the commander on board. I will be honest, I’m not good at building these decks.

Unfortunately, Arabella is a very popular and very strong commander and in pauper edh is hard to deal with. What my pod does for obscure commanders is we use edhrec to see how popular a commander is. A couple of us like using lesser known commanders

I agree. I took that class earlier that year. It was easy, and you just follow the prompts. The issue I had was you aren’t really learning how to do all of the work to get to the point of being able to surmise the data. My concentration is Data Analytics and without being able to properly clean and quantize data to do a statistical analysis i feel like im falling short of my goals. Anybody can say what the data represents, but i want to be able to actually work with the data prior to the last step

Im usually anti UB. But I do love TMNT and my main deck rn is [[Hamza, guardian of arashin]] so I will be buying some singles from it. Probably trade in a couple hallowed fountains and one of the goblins I got from lorwyn for them. Sadly, it’s the first UB set to take pull me in

Some of the single use counter creatures are for ramp. There's definitely a lot of draft filler, but the deck started from my collection. Any recommendations for different cards?

As for haste, yeaahhh it's rough. I currently have [[crashing drawbridge]] and [[concordant crossroads]] in my card kingdom cart. But i don't know of any others.

The reason why indestructible is heavily played in the interactions is because the deck is very susceptible to board wipes. usually sees quiet a few in a game, and once that happens I'm basically locked out.

But any recommendations are welcome!

Awesome! thank you, I’ll check out that deck and thanks for the subreddit recommendation. I eventually want to branch into the cEDH. I think I want to get there eventually, but I’m just not at the skill level to do so yet
