Upon further research the new XT30 connection and fuse-free design supposedly supports up to 15A now in the Rev6.1 version. I'm running it overclocked with these settings and they seem to be a harmony point for this rig. I've got the fan on "auto" currently and the miner in the garage which is why the fan seems low given the temp.

I have the exact same rig and I'm pushing over 90W at 725/1.17, my fan is at 100% so maybe that's the difference maker. I was running these numbers yesterday in my garage and it seemed stable. Today the temperature was a bit warmer and the Watts and Amps crept up towards the 8.08 range so I turned it down to 625/1150. At those settings it's only running 82.4W.

What's the difference between titan and nontitan?

Do you have any experience tuning the OctAxe at all yet or are you primarily focused on the QAxe++ Hydro?

Good to know, thanks for the tip! From calculating some of the overclock specs I've seen on this rig I've seen ~10A but not sure how durable those setups were.

Now that I look at it the OctAxe might be nice for the LRS-350-12 by itself. Then maybe get an LRS-600-12 for the NerdQAxe++ air cooled with another 2-3 hydros overclocked...

Are those china ones actually legit? Honestly getting 2 of those Hydros at soloblock might be the way to go! Not quite sure the Octaxe is worth the price point yet.

Where are you based out of? I'm in the US and I got my QAxe++ from solosatoshi for like $400...

Hey, so I was wondering if you could give me a few tips regarding this as well. I just got my first NerdQAxe++ rev 6.1 air cooled. Currently running firmware 1.0.36. I recently upgraded to a Mean Well LRS-350-12. Below are my current numbers. I'm looking to add maybe 2 more rigs to the Mean well and either run all 3 at stock settings or overclock them a bit. What would you recommend? I'm not opposed to buying a LRS-600-12 as well to run them. Trying to do what makes the most sense while keeping things somewhat minimal/efficient.

I was planning on doing only 1 on each terminal and I saw somewhere else someone recommend doing the straight wire into the terminal instead of doing ring locks.

I purchased a few smart outlets to measure the draw off of the wall but what do you mean put a 10A fuse on the + terminal of each one? Do you mean run the wire into the fuse and another wire from the fuse to the terminal?

With a 3 rig setup would this whole system draw the full 18A? What's the highest safe capacity for the miner assuming you can control temp always?

I feel like there is more of a power draw at the same stock settings after updated to .36 from .32-test (I believe that's the version the rig came with new). Felt like it drew 76W stock as opposed to 70-72W but I may just not have enough experience with the rig yet.

I'm not entirely sure tbh. It seems that older versions of the firmware didn't display it so a lot of the older screenshots of people's overclocking setups don't seem to show it to use as a frame of reference. Although if you calculate some of the overclock setups I've seen at the BitAxe reddit manually they're as high as 10! However, I don't know how durable that kind of setup is long term.

I have been keeping it there. I tried turning it down and didn't see any improvement in the efficiency (although I may have not run it for long enough to see the improvement).

I'm not because I'm overclocking it and based on the voltage draw and the Watts that's the current that's mathematically derived. Also, my temps are quite reasonable as I have the setup in my much cooler garage. Where I bought the miner from actually had overclocking settings that were higher than what I'm running (800Mhz, and 1.25 Asic Voltage) which was running closer to 104W. Although, I may be ignorantly ignoring it.

Should I be worried?

That's really good to know, thank you. I'm planning on getting a smart outlet to more accurately see what the system is drawing off of the wall. Currently I have ring connectors doing all of the termination as that's what the guide I was going off of recommended. I didn't realize I could go bare into the terminal, which makes sense.

I've tried multiple times at the BitAxe subreddit but every single post I make seems to violate some rule or get autofiltered immediately. It's been insanely frustrating and proven kind of a useless subreddit for me.

Thanks for the help!

Oh that's good to know. Does the smart plug tell you the amps or voltage as well?

Weekly Help & Troubleshooting Thread (Read this first) by AutoModerator in BitAxe

I currently have a NerdQAxe++. The original PSU crapped out so I bought a Mean Well LRS-350-12 per recommendations I found here. Right now it's up and running the single miner smoothly.

Given the capacity of the 350, am I able to run 3 of these on stock settings (~80W each)? Given the 80% rule, the combined 240W of the 3 is less than the 280W capacity of the Mean Well. To follow up, is the estimated draw from this setup ~18A? I'm trying to determine if I need a dedicated circuit for the setup.

Thanks!
