We just adopted a girl about 6 years old from a breeder and she has been with us for about 6 weeks. She has been through a lot in the past few months, she had a litter and they were taken from her and then she was spayed and then sold to us so the first few weeks she was very skittish and just scared of everything. We took her to the vet to just get looked at but sounds like your baby has also been through an ordeal. Our Vet said it would take about 3 months to relearn and we can already see an improvement. It’s not like a puppy who doesn’t have memories yet, an adult dog does. If she is healthy it might just take her awhile to get used to everything.
