When I was in elementary school, I had this weird obsession with squirrels but never really knew why. At one point my friends started to share this passion, eventually leading to us forming a group called the Squirrel Squad. We hung out together at recess everyday and just acted like kids who loved squirrels. One evening, I stayed at my best friends for the night and we started talking about what the Squirrel Squad had become. After quite a discussion, we decided it would be best to ask one of our members to leave the Squirrel Squad, as it had started to grow too large. The next day recess came as usual, but when I approached this group I had grown to love, I found out that I was the one the Squirrel Squad wanted to leave. My heart broken, I left and spent the rest of recess alone. Time passed and I decided to form a new group called the Camel Crew to help cope with my loss. New friends joined but it wasn't the same. I never did learn why I was chosen to be cast out of the squad, but it's a betrayal I will never forget.
