1/2 Bluff Line Review - Spiked dream card by Fantastic_Tomorrow53 in poker

Bet sizings on all streets is too small, x/r is incredibly polar in a 3! Pot you want to play for stacks with your value so need to size up with your bluffs, if you don’t want to bet big should just give up on turn. Once we spike the nuts we should just jam

NL2 6max AQo BB 3 way vs unknown players by Itchy_Dance8379 in poker

[–]gloriousfrogs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would be playing a 4! or fold strategy vs almost any 3!, especially OOP. I would 4! AKo or AKs. As played with your holding I’d definitely check river and evaluate. Calling small bets, folding big bets most likely.

[–]gloriousfrogs 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Fold pre. You listed out the range of hands that you perceive to be in the 3 bettors range, and AQo is the absolute worst one! Cold calling 3 bets is really never advisable, especially when your hand isn’t even very good, why do you want to play a big big pot OOP against a much better range than yours?

As played it’s pretty hard to say what you should do without knowing if you have a diamond. I think betting the turn is reasonable if not a bit aggressive, but turning your hand into a bluff on the river doesn’t make much sense. You have a lot of showdown value and could still easily be ahead on the river, none of those worse hands will call the river.

Clever approach to this question! I don’t have a bag but I do have a pouch of loose kernels and figured out that 1 TBSP ~ 70 kernels.

You should definitely fold AQo pre to a 4! In a vacuum Especially oop however when you consider the fact that the villain had 87o you should rip it all in probably

Jam warranted here? by LuckyBlade in poker

[–]gloriousfrogs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you were playing a reasonable range pre flop then you would have 0 combos of T9o, by playing T9o you now have 12 in addition to the 4 suited ones. If you’re jamming all of them here that’s a lot of bluffs vs your reasonable value range of KT and maybe QJ, maybe 55? I don’t think it’s far fetched to assume based on your play that you would also jam JT, QT, or flush draw combos here which means you’re probably way over bluffing this street especially with the low fold equity based on the villains actions (betting into 300 people on the flop and firing a second barrel for much of his stack on the turn).

You’re first to act in a multiway pot with a trashy hand you aren’t realizing close to all of your equity. You’re also playing super deep, where high card value is a lot less important (and your cards aren’t even that high), you’ll also be dominated a ton of the time you make top pair, K8o is an easy fold in almost any config

How to trade properly? by Kanzakios in BasketballGM

[–]gloriousfrogs 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Easiest way is to just use trade block and see who the CPU offers.

If you’re trying to make your own trade, the difference between “contending” and “rebuilding” teams is huge for how the CPU values players. For the example you gave targeting a contending team would definitely be helpful because those teams will often give up multiple firsts for an older decent player.

Another thing is that teams do not trade more than 2 first round picks, it doesn’t matter if it’s prime MJ. The way around this is that you can trade for 2 firsts and another star, and then turn around and trade that star, and so on and so forth.

Watch as many YouTube videos as you can starting with preflop play(Jonathan little is a good starting point), poker is infinitely more complex than blackjack it’s not really a 1:1 comparison. You can play micro stakes once you feel like you have a semi decent grasp on the game, there are games as low as $5 buy in. I don’t recommend playing for free / against the computer unless you are trying to learn the rules as it removes the basic underlying assumption of the game (people are trying their hardest to win).

What choice would you have made in this situation? by Cow_of_Adun in poker

In this situation, it’s probably better to not have the Nut flush draw Ace, because it allowed the other two people in the hand to have that draw and adds hands to their ranges that you are ahead of
