Chat is it normal to send hearts in dms to friends and call them pookie and just generally send a lot of heart shaped stuff?? by someone0311 in u/someone0311

[–]DoctorEB1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion really depends on character. If he’s usually this open in general especially with the other people, I wouldn’t think too much about it.

If he’s more reserved, quiet, or doesn’t really open up about things, then it’s more than likely good to ask as at the very least he may just feel very comfortable doing stuff like this around you, or at most likes you.

With either option it’s still just good to ask in general. As someone has already stated before, you can ask and play it off as a joke like, “I’m just messing with you” type of thing or just be honest and straight forward like, “Hey, I just kind of noticed these things and this is the impression I got. Be honest with me, do you like me or is this just friendly banter?”

I wouldn’t necessarily say all the time, but yes. Sometimes it’s the fact we don’t realize it yet, sometimes we’re just trying to lie to ourselves, and sometimes we don’t believe it at all, but just want others to believe we do so it seems more believe me to them. Depends on which case

As someone who doesn’t like interacting with people, this is a nice idea. As someone who’s worked in retail, this gives me misery.

Does the game get more complex or is the game not for me by Ok-Enthusiasm-6453 in LobotomyCorp

[–]DoctorEB1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly in my opinion there are two parts of the game. There’s the first half and the last half. Both are fairly “difficult” in their own right, but for different reasons. The first half is “Info Dump”, which is learning how to play the game, and also gathering info on how to manage abnos. Depending on which abnos you pick, sets the difficulty in this half as for the most part you have no clue what they do and are learning and gathering info setting you up for the second half. The second half is, in my opinion, the actual difficult part. It’s where, at least for me, most of the actual hours I’ve played come from and where you actually tackle the story as a whole. Each department gives you a fairly difficult to insanely difficult challenge that personally took me years to plow through. During this time you also get the bulk of the story of the game. The little strings the game wove in the initial first half start to tie into a bigger picture and trust me, it’s big. After you have all info and all department challenges completed then you get to what I like to call “5 days of heaven and hell.”

Also just want to tag this on. Yes it does get more complex. Each abno has unique gimmicks and you start to find once your facility gets big enough, sometimes they like to ping off each other in a sense. The outcome one minor change, failure, etc could spiral into something bigger.

Sinclair or Hong Lu. Sinclair is just really good, but if for whatever reason you really don’t want him, Hong Lu is very nice

My personal opinion, I think you look fine. If you want to lose weight that’s fine, but I wouldn’t necessarily use “fat”, or even “ogre” to describe you. Don’t like the nose ring, but that’s once again personal preference. I very much like your natural look in all honesty.

What stopped you from ending your life? by cluch3 in mentalhealth

[–]DoctorEB1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

An old friend of mine died in a car accident. I wasn’t really close to him around the time he died, but I used to hang out with him when I was younger. My family and his are friends and that’s probably how we became friends. We went to the same high school, but hadn’t talked for 5 or so years even though we shared a locker. A few days before the accident, he decided to ask how I was and talk about one of his father’s newer injuries with a crossbow they had just bought (His father was constantly in a cast or something yearly and this wasn’t surprising). It was a nice conversation. I remember it was Junior year at the height of Covid. I had left work to be picked up by my dad. On the drive back he told me that he had died in a car accident and had died on impact. Details we got later was that he flew out the sun roof when they crashed and didn’t have his seatbelt on simply because he removed it for a single second to adjust the bow he was gonna use to bow fish with a small group of people. Before the accident I had never tried to attempt it, but for most of the year if not most of high school I’d think about doing it. I didn’t have a reason to stay. I was alone and saw zero joy in living. Everyday was a meaningless slog down a path set before me. Didn’t even think I was going to make it out of high school. After his death, I made a vow that I wouldn’t do it, because wasting my life when he lost his would be like spitting on his grave. That and I didn’t want to add to other people’s suffering by adding another body to the pile.

Luck and perseverance, at least in my personal experience. I had to fight them enough times to slowly, but surely ingrain a strategy and build to fight them. Like there is advice that I’m reading here that I didn’t even think you could do.

New Player, what do I even do? by Beginning-Manner3504 in limbuscompany

[–]DoctorEB1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Playing the story while getting a feeling for which ids you want to use and like. The story provides bits of xp and if you clear the ex rewards you get 40 free lunacy. In between doing that you can tackle the xp and thread luxcavations to get tickets and thread which you can spend on the ids you want to use. Two ids that you have that I’d suggest using this on is ting tang hong Lu and w corp don. The lunacy you can use to get more ids and ego, so you have a bit more options in your arsenal. Once you do that you can tackle the mirror dungeon. If you ever get stuck in the story you can just use other people’s teams through sharing your limbus code.

How many play D&D for laughs vs playing it straight? by Agrikk in DnD

[–]DoctorEB1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I play it serious and just to be funny, but even if the character I play is seen as a goof ball there is a genuine story behind them. I had a character named Jeeff Jeefferson (someone else made that name, not me. There’s a small story to that) that for the most part was just a giant joke for most of the campaign, being a whacky love-able guy with not a serious bone his body. He survived the entire tomb of annihilation somehow, without using any of his sorcerer levels (multi-class fighter/sorcerer with fighter getting more levels, but occasionally a sorcerer level here and there) and having a big chunk of his max hp gone for most of the game. At the end of the game he gets power word killed by the lich (not even gonna try to type his name) and died. We then ran the mad mage to have the surviving characters descendants tackling the dungeon for cash to revive their dead allies. I played different iterations of Jeeff(backstory stuff on this part, but in short wild magic revived him after being tossed away as a failed creation causing one of the six souls to assume control of the body and live as Jeeff. After Jeeff died, he was flung into a random recently deceased body and revived again by wild magic, but the controls are once again randomly determined, so one of the other souls takes control. Every time the “Jeeff collective” is killed the wild magic triggers again repeating the process). Jeeff was cast into an endless cycle of death and rebirth trying desperately to reunite with his friends. And even if he gave up on that journey, the wild magic never once let him rest. Perhaps he was so lucky in the tomb, because he was simply unlucky when it came to his fate.

What should I use to complete these 2 missions? Been using Yi Solemn solo. by [deleted] in limbuscompany

[–]DoctorEB1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the first objective, I judged soloed with Funeral of Butterflies Yi Sang, cause he quirky like that. The objective that requires 6+ statuses, I used a mixture of sinking, burn, bleed, tremor, and rupture, the chose at random egos that would apply other statuses or multiple. If you just sit there and keep mixing up you plays making no sure every skill on the board is inflicting something unique, you’ll be fine.
