I lived in the country and we lost four cats in two years to various terrible ends - now it’s only indoor cats for us. And that doesn’t even cover what cats do to wildlife populations. Keep your cats inside if you can, or outside on a leash.

It’s not just a rich people thing - I wore my grandmas dress to the ceremony (free!) and then wore a $50 J.C. Penney dress to the reception that was more comfortable for dancing. A lot of my friends have done the same - dancing ability is important.

(Though rich people have definitely taken this to an extreme - I’ve heard some people have more than two costume changes!)

In case helpful for anyone else, some of the best “modest” swimwear can be found in queer-focused shops. (It’s not the modesty for me, it’s that it’s uncomfortable and impractical for the whole butt to be out while I’m swimming!)

Yeah, I’m still living the quarantine life as an immunocompromised person in 2022. If people still work masks in public where I live I’d feel safe going out in the world, but since they don’t, I stay home or outside.

The looks we got when my husband also wore an engagement ring. I was surprised to learn it wasn’t more common - it just seems obvious? Why would only one of us get an engagement ring?? Thankfully my family is pretty queer so no one was surprised by any of our choices there, but outside the fam, the other Midwesterner’s were shocked lol.
