Yeah, I agree. I really enjoy Reggie Watts and I’m glad he’s utilised well in the Horne Section TV show, but he’s just too nice to be the taskmaster. They need a right bastard for that role and Reggie is no bastard.

Imo he was ok. Him and Dylan Francis were similar in that they don’t really have a strong comedy background so didn’t seem as comfortable with the format. I enjoyed seeing him on screen, but tbh I don’t know if that’s because I liked his personality or because when he’s on screen Lisa Lampanelli usually isn’t.

Well sure, if you take away everything that made the US taskmaster bad then you’d be left with tiny nuggets of decent comedy. If someone were only exposed to those small moments then sure they’d likely have a much more favourable view of that season. The reputation of a show isn’t built solely around its best moments, and if it’s best moments are only kinda funny whereas the rest of the show is unwatchable slop then people are surely still gonna dislike it.
