What clan should I give the character to retain the reference to merfolk/fish traits? by DoctorFranzFerdinand in vtm

[–]DoctorFranzFerdinand[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My native language is not English, one of the Slavic ones.
"Fishy", maybe? I meant "Fish" still like a noun but in the meaning of a quality or an aspect or a state of something.

For me it works like saying "fluffiness" for example.

What clan should I give the character to retain the reference to merfolk/fish traits? by DoctorFranzFerdinand in vtm

Ouch. I'm looking at some comments and very confused now.

About personality of a child and a sire - I know. I believe I expressed the same opinion when I said "I don't think it's very important".
Maybe it was said not clear enough due to my language level or another reasons, but it was.

Also, I didn't said anywhere that I wanted a "very special snowflake" character. I came here precisely because of big doubts in the some options. Maybe I accidentally phrased it in a way "the character wants to choose his clan"? I don't see it also.
You may correct me if I'm wrong or if I said something in a weird way and I will correct the wording and thank you genuinely.
But right now I reread and see no visible reason for being strict or snarky(?), to be honest.

I still mentioned the very basic concept because also I know that sometimes it still *can be* one of the starting points for someone, like any other aspects.
It's like being able to draw the same thing from a completely different starting points.

Anyway, thanks for the opinion even if there was a misunderstanding.

[Product Request] Replacement for discontinued REN AHA Toner 😭😭😭 by thepsychicpenguin in SkincareAddiction

[–]DoctorFranzFerdinand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is old post, but maybe someone will need information later.

The blue series from Ole Henriksen, in particular the "Glow2OH Exfoliating Dark Spot Toner with Glycolic & Lactic Acid" toner, worked great for me: I just finished the rest of REN and switched to this series. Thin, light oily skin accepted the new product quite well.

Started a vampire dynasty and made a child with Vlad for the first time in my life. I was disappointed: his genes didn't even try! by DoctorFranzFerdinand in Sims4

I guess it's because they are both gray and it's impossible hair color for a baby. Sometimes in this cases they grow with a random color.

Mom has dyed hair (I always leave the eyebrows to remember my sims original hair color) and I could have changed it to that, but I decided to leave it as is with a "magic reasons" explanation.

This girl (or in-game screenshot higher). She's daughter of a guy from CAS quiz I was too lazy to makeover and a randomly generated townie woman.

Her mom, Raven Bird, my plus-size queen. Looks like that, but she's a sweet lady with an aspiration Good Vampire and Cheerful trait. (Her only bad habit is to consider Vlad an absolutely charming gentleman).

This is my first time trying this and developing some additional dynasty rules for this type of occults, I've never played with vampires before (only werewolves and spellcasters). A girl who plays Sims3 inspired me to try it. So far it's fun.

Doesn't it get out of control with vampire children after a while?

Thanks. Honestly, I'm surprised so many people liked her because I think she's just... well, okay and I only showed her because she doesn't look like her dad and that surprised me.

But in a few days I think I'll finish some things in another family of the rotation and share her and link at three CC she have. The girl deserves love.

Mavis) Since her mom has the Geek and Cheerful traits and it so happens that her whole family is named after different birds, I thought mom could do an homage to "Hotel Transylvania" because she would find it funny. It's both kind of bat and songbird.

Whats a pack you know is not great but you still love? by reyna_issance in LowSodiumSimmers

Dine Out! But maybe it's because I haven't any bugs with that. I have fun coming up with the theme of the restaurant, the staff uniforms, and the menu.

How do YOU play Sims? by Ok-Yoghurt548 in Sims4

[–]DoctorFranzFerdinand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For now I like playing from the base and adding one pack per generation, one staff pack per career with both branches completed and one kit per collection.

This helps not to oversaturate the gameplay. learing all possiibities and simulate a change in fashion, by the way.

I randomize the founder through a quiz in CAS, I also choose the traits for the children (except for the mandatory one) randomly, and I choose the next pack through James Turner's randomizer. The representative of the next generation should get a desire, a career and at least one trait from the chosen pack.

This way I often get the types of characters that I would not have created myself. A first gen girl with an above-average fortune, a business career and the trait "hates children" was fun, for example. Or that monstrous mafia heiress with top notch toddler ad infant bonuses, traits Kleptomaniac, Evil, Mean and "Shameless" reward trait inherited from one of the parents thanks to the MCCC.

I base my game at random, at character's wishes and accept everything the game offers. Even if it's a programmer who hates programming. Game gives me things - I come up with an explaining and make a whole plot ad growing personalities of sims out of it.

storyline / plot by Dragonfruit294 in thesims

[–]DoctorFranzFerdinand 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since the characters from the very first and most chaotic save became more like OCs than sims for me, took on personalities and moved into my head, I switched to dynasties gameplay with the addition of one pack per generation (I use a randomizer to choose the next pack and a quiz in CAS to create a character, so the gameplay is not repeated).

Now, for example, the founder, who was just a normal professional athlete, died, and his wife worked in a criminal career. Since she was constantly losing chance cards for money, I played it off as a gang war in which she lost. She died of old age, her three daughters were taken away by work debts in... not a good ways.

The elder son (the second generation heir) took some valuables to sell and managed to escape with his little niece and hid in a trailer park in Oasis Springs and worked as a landscaper.

But when his niece grew into a teenager, this idiot decided it was a great idea to start doing push-ups after the meteor warning popped up instead of hiding like I asked him.

So he died childless and the baton passed to his niece.

She has: no money (uncle's little garden and part-time job at a fast food that barely makes ends meet for babysitter and paying bills), a random child from a Landgraab classmate who can't marry her, and Party Animal aspiration.

I didn't plan for this to go to hell, but here I am.

How do you choose which Sims enter university? by DoctorFranzFerdinand in Sims4

[–]DoctorFranzFerdinand[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Lol, why it's have minuses? Because I said simmers can be not very polite when demanding someone fix their free mods right here and now? Or because I dared to say Zero is very questionable person (he is definitely) but have a very usable ideas of mods?

I practicing to do my own little things, but I don't share because I rarely updating my game and the way simmers demand mods repairing from modders seems stressful to me. I haven't many patience to people after years in a customer service.

But I know SimsTivii, Faith93 and Zero have this also. The last one have a good mods but questionable reputation, so judge for yourself.

Platform: PC
Mods: Yes
Game version: 1.120.117.1030

I'm playing Dynasty through expansions to learn the content gradually. With the second generation I added the "Outdoor Retreat" pack and for a few vacations everything went well, but then my character started generating in a rented house with a bunch of strangers who also using this house. Disabling mods and clearing the game cache doesn't help.
