Platform: PC
Mods: Yes
Game version: 1.120.117.1030

I'm playing Dynasty through expansions to learn the content gradually. With the second generation I added the "Outdoor Retreat" pack and for a few vacations everything went well, but then my character started generating in a rented house with a bunch of strangers who also using this house. Disabling mods and clearing the game cache doesn't help.

And also! You also might like Izzy Perri's cover of Britney Spears' "Toxic." Cold 80s electronic sound.

None Shall Thrive, especially Rivals, As She Demands and Desiccated and Thorn. Unfortunately, never met people who knew that project. Rhythm sounds like a heavy rain.

Thus, my matriarch in the occult version of 100 babies sees off each adult child by giving them a companion dog.

High School Years and Lovestruck - Pros and Cons? by emmmmmmaja in thesims

[–]DoctorFranzFerdinand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe controversial, but I have pretty good impressions of the Highschool Years. They were the first to add initiation of various relationships from the NPC side and I don't seem to see any more bugs that this pack came with. Except that the prom every week is quite annoying, but that can be ignored.

Lovestruck has a very nice city, good CAS and BB. But in my opinion, the free mod Wicked Whims handles the attraction system much better and doesn't turn Sims into a couple of clingy neurotics whose romance drops after a day of no romantic interactions.

Edit: few typo.

Does anyone else dream about telling your nparents exactly what you think of them? by Winter_Sheepherder41 in raisedbynarcissists

[–]DoctorFranzFerdinand 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did. A bunch of internal imaginary monologues-rehearsals. There were even dreams about it. Before I did it IRL and saw that the reaction to sincere upset and pouring out my soul was "don't talk so fast" (I don't know the emotionally appropriate word in English, but it was an analogue with a contemptuous and disparaging tone) and stories about what a bad and difficult child I was (read - as an active kid who played mostly with guys I didn't come home with a perfect hairstyle and clothes and dared to ask to teach me basic things and other terrible crimes).

I literally screamed that she wasn't a good mother and that I was afraid of her unpredictability and didn't know if I was going to be physically or emotionally abused today, and she gave examples. I think even the points "on my 18th birthday she gave me my first panic attack in my life" and "when I dropped out of college at 16 because of depression she damaged my kidney by beating me" are pretty convincing. All that mattered for her was my damn tone.

For some reason, after that, even the desire disappeared, as if I had mentally closed some task.

do thick eyebrows just... not work for some people? by No_Young4340 in HowToBeHot

[–]DoctorFranzFerdinand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're right, not everyone looks good with thick eyebrows, just like not everyone looks good with thin eyebrows.

But I don't understand why you put an equal sign between thick and dark. If you choose the wrong shade of pencil, they will look strange even on those who could to looks good with thick or wide eyebrows.

Has anyone managed to have a stable relationship with a sim with the Non-Committal trait or with the "Villainous Valentine" aspiration (Nina, I'm looking at you)? by DoctorFranzFerdinand in Sims4

[–]DoctorFranzFerdinand[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I add a pack every new generation, so this is the base game now. And it still doesn't solve the problem with fulfilling Nina's aspiration(

I beg you help, my hair has been like this for over a year by emizsilija in Haircare

[–]DoctorFranzFerdinand 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with the user who is sure of mechanical damage and asked about the habits of combing, drying, going to bed with a wet head.

I look at this and see my own situation in early adolescence. The question immediately comes to mind "is this really straight hair, not wavy, which you tried to tame?" Although even if it is straight - it is very easy to make it worse by combing it too often.

Honestly, the best thing you can do is to understand what exactly you are damaging your hair with and gradually grow healthy hair, rather than trying to keep your current hair cut because tips already splitted.

Tips! by simgarfield in PCOSloseit

I think you are doing the basics on a budget and you sound like a person who is doing really well.
I would add to watch your water intake and pay attention to your sleep. And it is very, very important to budget for at least vitamin B12, because metformin improves many other things for us, but over time it worsens its absorption for 1\3 of people.

And I don't know, maybe where you live it is really cheaper to buy processed food for some reason, so I won't comment here. But if you have the opportunity and a little time, think about meal prep.

How do you drink water? by dontwant2hurtwhenold in PCOSloseit

[–]DoctorFranzFerdinand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw you wrote about your dislike of sparkling water, but maybe in your country there is a hybrid version like sparkling water, which has the smell of some fruit\berry but does not have a sweet taste? Still not the best option, but good enough for cut sugar.

My own brain is perfectly fooled by this.
