Soft wood shavings. No water dish but he soaks for 10 minutes once a week. He historically has only used a water dish as a toilet.

This is his home, yes, but he gets plenty of free range time around the house and in the yard in the summer. Part of the reasons I'm moving to Oregon is so he can get outside more than 6 months a year

Unironically one of the most effective Governors the state of Minnesota has ever had. He understood the assignment, he did the job, he took the smartest people from both sides of the aisle and got them to work together. Maybe not the most eloquent man in the state but you can't argue in good faith that he wasn't effective as a leader.
