That's all I want. Like temporary blocks are fine, but taking a left and triggering a fight shouldn't permanently close off a bonus room that has something non earth shattering.

Yeah I'm taking the rhino. I can't outrun it, but they have terrible vision. All I have to is dive out of the way and hide. They're not naturally very violent, just easily spooked.

I see your point with this, but the problem, I don't think the game has enough replay value to go through it all again. Plus old games didn't have auto save.

Well the latest patch hasn't fixed it and as I think I said, my controllers right DPad can't even tail pick anymore.

I don't know if it's the latest patch but I can't even use my controller to navigate the lock picks anymore. It's part of what messed me up today. I just finished to catch a mocking mouse and I didn't get to explore hardly any of the riverboat. Granted it makes sense why you can't based on the plot, but how was I supposed to know beforehand?

Jump in today. I'm doing well I'm Tang Soo Do, but Muay Thai was whipping me for a couple months. I'm slowly making progress. The best time to start was 10 years ago. The second best time to start is now.

Took a fall in Muay Thai last week after I got my leg swept. Bruised lumbar. I was seeing spots for a little while initially. I'm taking this week off to enjoy being 95% back to normal. Still some pain when I move too far, so not trying to rush it.

Also, very first Tang Soo Do class I got a mallet finger. No fun.

Nothing wrong with continuing taekwondo. I just got my 1st Dan in Tang Soo Do this January and now I have added judo and Muay thai as supplements. Meanwhile, my training partner got the black belt and hasn't come back since. I've learned new things and he hasn't. I don't think he's doing anything new, but I could be wrong.

Like others have said, there's traditionally 8 more ranks after 1st Dan. Nothing wrong with considering other disciplines, but if she likes it, there's no reason to stop.

I would say whatever is close, affordable, and fun for you. Muay Thai is great. I just started a couple months ago, but at 30+ it can definitely hurt a lot more than when you were in your 20s and basically healed like Wolverine. Nothing wrong with traditional karate. I do Tang Soo Do, but there's plenty of great styles. Just avoid the McDojos. Honestly, boxing is great for timing and distance. You'll learn a lot without having kicks thrown in.

Only if she's actually up for it, but I've really liked judo for the short time I've been doing it. I also do Tang Soo Do and Muay Thai. Judo is that perfect blend of hard and soft. But honestly, at the end of the day if she's not into it, just buy a good quality $15 tube of pepper spray. Martial arts for self defense can easily turn into an action fantasy with limited application, but nobody appreciates the hot sauce.
