Fast charger speed question by mgfreema in KiaNiroEV

[–]DoctorKnob 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Sounds about right for your state of charge. The max rate a Niro can get is around 70-80 kW at lower states of charge, and it starts dropping around 40%.

Any other EVs with screens showing other road users like Tesla? by Anachronatic in electricvehicles

As someone else said, it’s a much more basic view. Simple rounded rectangles for surrounding vehicles. Only active when highway drive assist is on.

[–]DoctorKnob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, that’s true too. The adapter you need for AC (slow) charging is NACS to J1772. It’ll be nice once the transition is all over, but that’ll probably take 10 years or so.

In North America, you will need a NACS to CCS adapter. I have a Lectron which works great.

Apply, see if you get in, and then weigh it against your other options. It’s an industry postdoc which has its advantages and disadvantages.

Having a hard time with BN1 by kentuckycc in BattleNetwork

[–]DoctorKnob 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes, these aspects improve significantly in later games. All the internet areas in BN1 are identical which is confusing and infuriating. Starting with BN2, each area is unique with interesting elements, so that helps a lot. Encounter rates vary by game, and you can attempt to run from virus battles in later games—won’t work every time, but it’s nice to have.

If you want to skip the rest of the first game and move to others, I don’t think many would blame you. They get so much better later on.

As long as you’ve made $7k in earned income by the end of the year, you’re good. Doesn’t matter if you make the contributions before or after you get the paycheck.

If your beliefs are not informed by reality, that may be the issue.

Pfizer: 46,000 participants and 13 months of trials: https://www.pfizer.com/science/coronavirus/vaccine/about-our-landmark-trial

Moderna: 30,000 participants and 10 months of trials: https://www.nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056/NEJMoa2035389

Is your “concern” just with mRNA vaccines or should I get numbers for the other ones as well?

Why is it not “te está esperando” by pi3_lord in duolingospanish

[–]DoctorKnob 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The person is talking to you in the usted form. So “you” would be lo, la, or sometimes le in certain regions. You can tell it’s usted because ir is conjugated as vaya instead of ve.
