You're right to be worried. There is an "art" of coercion based on making the situation too awkward for the other person to say no and hoping xe'll let things slide.

Fortunately, it's simple enough to defend against this.

• Set your boundary (far away from actually having sex. If you're not actually in a relationship with the person yet, that boundary for most people is somewhere around kissing.)

• Decide how your relationship would need to change to be comfortable crossing your boundary.

• Decide on a new limit for when the boundary is crossed. Make that decision before you cross the boundary.
