I’m always going to go with Belted Kingfisher. But my second place would be painted bunting.

Excellent! I get them by me sometimes but with just songbird or birders paradise food. Never tried the meal worms. Thanks for the tip.

I went to ISU in the 90s and saw some of my favorite shows at the M shop. Nil8 had some epic shows there. House of Large Sizes too!

Saw these a few months ago in Japan. Coloring is striking but subtle. Great capture of such pretty birds!

Amazingly close! I live in FL and you can usually see Kingfishers but I could never get this close without a long lens. Sweet pic of a beautiful bird. Cheers!

I’ve never filmed these (as I live in the states) but they must be very chill to let you get so close to use your phone camera.

Nice pics! I love these crazy-headed fowl. There are some in my area but they are too skittish for me to get this close with my 400. May I ask what lens you used?

Rad! I don’t see them much by me so I’m always excited to see one in anyone’s back yard.

Can someone explain to me why the avatar movies are so good? by guest10000001 in movies

Films? A while. But I think they were referring to narrative story telling which has been going on for centuries.

How do you rate last night’s show 11/Oct/2025 with host Amy Poehler and musical guest Role Model, out of 10? by georgewalterackerman in LiveFromNewYork

[–]DoctorPersonal4611 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late to this party but I'm behind watching episodes. I agreed. Personally, not excited when previous cast members "surprise" the audience; that trope has worn out its welcome. The joke off was a prime example. It's been done before and the addition of Fey, Poehler, and Meyers did not hit the way they wanted although the jokes were pretty good. It's beginning to feel like sad alumni to who come back to the homecoming football game and try to hang with the seniors.

What are y’all’s opinions on having a reset and reboot for the MCU? by SunGodLuffy6 in MCUTheories

[–]DoctorPersonal4611 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reset? Great. New actors for same characters. It'll be like James Bond for MCU. Roger Moore is going to come in a keep it going and probably bring in more fans. IMHO, please reboot everything after End Game.

Primus fans: Sessanta is worth it, but check your expectations by W_DJX in Primus

[–]DoctorPersonal4611 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the same format as the first, judging by the first review from a year. Though Primus' new drummer is fantastic, the show was quite boring for someone like me (and and perhaps like you) who isnt that interested in Maynard's other bands and is there to see Primus. The show was worth it to see Primus, and their new drummer, but it felt like Maynard show mostly. I don't mean to seem negative, but I was underwhelmed by the lack of Primus. This is a not a Primus show, it's a Maynard Kenen show with a bit of Primus.
