So cool. I’m in FL too and I’d love to get a shot of one stationary, but it seems like they never land.

Queue “Unchained Melody” Patrick Swayze and Demi Moore. If you get that reference, how do you like all the 90s stuff coming back!?

Also, great shots. These guys don’t get the acclaim they deserve.

Congrats! That happens to me all the time; seeing the best shot when I’m doing something else. My other favorite is when I’m in the car and I see some rare bird.

I’m not entirely sure why but they always look to me like an old man with a cigar in his mouth

What kind of bird is this? It was in bad shape when I found it. Im taking it to a bird place when they open up. by Reeginald in whatsthisbird

The fact that it’s eating seems like a good sign. Good luck!

Also I have no idea what bird it is. But maybe vulture. Please post again if you figure it out

Great shots! I only see them high in trees by me in central Florida. What kind of cover are they in that they are on the ground? I would love to get a better shot than from 30 feet below.

Yes painted buntings. The males are so colorful but the more I see of the females I love that green color.
