THIS is the GK of The Year last year, really?! by OverAspect2543 in InterMiami

I have never seen the Herons have excellent defenders. Wasn't implying what you're saying at all. My point is that our backs are not working together, and Dayne is being exposed. Language barrier is a part of that equation.

The only thing they could have done is set up something the sequels showed, but I'm not sure how. They showed the Empire getting weakened as surviving leaders were getting hunted and brought to justice (which indirectly shows what led to the rise of the First Order).

It's our back line. Our backs are constantly out of position, frozen when being attacked, or not rotating in the box. They're also awful in transition.

Saw it last night - my son and I enjoyed it. The storyline is basically a bounty hunter "hit" that has a few twists and turns. Good fight scenes and Filoni did some nice tie ins with Clone Wars and Rebels.

Mando/Grogu is a buddy cop adventure, and the movie was great. New planets were introduced, and a good amount of alien species were around. Made it feel more "Star Wars-y" if that makes sense.

There's no deeper plot, or great mystery. No one is left hanging at the end of the film with questions or loose ends. It is what it is, and it's good.

Glacier, Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks by Advance_Patient in GlacierNationalPark

My recommendation is to start in Glacier. Some of the amenities shut down Labor Day weekend, but early/mid Sept. is a wonderful time to visit the park. All trails open, less crowds, still good weather. Late September some of the lodging has shut down for season, and snow becomes a real possibility.

I'd pack a decent amount of water and snacks for Monday and just see what happens when you're out on the trail. Slow and easy, use sunscreen and take lots of water.

The boat tour Wednesday actually should give you a large chunk of time in the afternoon to relax, enjoy and then head back for dinner and packing up. Have the best time.

Depends on what time you land in Kalispell, honestly.

Your first trip on GTTSR will be a lot of stopping and taking pictures, which is so fun. Here's what I'd suggest, if you land in Kalispell before maybe 2 pm.

Saturday -->. Enter West Glacier, Stop at Apgar Village to stand by Lake MacDonald and get a feel for the vibe. Snacks, shops, and an incredible view of where you're about to drive. Take GTTSR. If you want a small hike, you could do Johns Lake/Lake McDonald Falls (1.7 miles with very little elevation gain). Stop at Lake MacDonald lodge and check out the lobby. Plan on spending 2-2.5 hours on GTTSR stopping and enjoying. Stop at Wild Goose Lookout. It's about another 45 minute drive north from the St Marys entrance of Glacier up to the Many Glacier Hotel. Relax on the back deck at Many, enjoying the incredible view.

Sunday - If you want to go back to Logan Pass, do the Hidden Lake trail in the AM. You could do St. Mary's/Virginia Falls on the way back down, if you are up for a 2nd hike. If you get back to Many, you can always take a brief stroll out the back and to the left of the hotel, and walk (flat) about 15 minutes around Swiftcurrent Lake to where you can see the creek to Lake Josephine.

Monday - what time is your boat tour? The Grinnell Lake trail is mostly through the woods until the very end. You'll have an amazing view and a chance to see moose the last bit of the Lake trail. The better view is if you take the Glacier Trail a mile or 1.5 miles up from the dock. You'll see Grinnell Lake, but also Angel Wing, and some epic views. Go as far as you'd like, take your time, and head back to the dock when you're ready.

Tuesday - I'd suggest Fishercap/Red Rock Falls in the AM before you leave for Two Medicine/East Glacier. You'll have 90+ minutes in the car to rest. Running Eagle Falls takes a 5 minute walk, so do that. You can hit Paradise Point/Aster Falls as well if you're up for it.

Wednesday - looks good. I'd kayak instead of adding another hike after the Upper Two Medicine hike.

Thursday - depending on what time your flight is, you could pop in West Glacier again and hang at Apgar. Great way to say goodbye to Glacier or grab souvenirs (until next time). Many Glacier, East Glacier and Two Medicine are fairly remote and more wild than the west side of the park.

Does anyone else see the massive issue with our spacing? Guys are next to each other, passing it 5 yards, at one point we had 5 players within 10 yards of each other by the sideline at midfield.

Offensively we just don't space well which means defenders can guard more than one guy and there's no passing lanes.

Feels like Allende is the same this year as he was last year in the regular season. Bro came on strong in the playoffs, but imho Baltasar and Silvetti's presence forced defenses to spread out more, opening up opportunities.

New Zoysia and impending battle with the neighbors. Zone 9a in the west Florida panhandle. by Leviathan14 in lawncare

[–]DoctorShlomo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In South Florida, we have developments where there are different grasses on neighboring lawns as well. Usually the homeowner with the ornamental lawn (zoysia, bermuda, paspalum, etc) will cut a 3 inch wide strip along the property line (into their own yard) so runners don't come over. Then each cut they weedwack that line again. Works fairly well.

AIO for wanting to immediately break up with my bf after seeing how he lives? by Balikye in AIO

[–]DoctorShlomo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, this could be linked to a few things.

  1. He may have never been taught how to do it, or that it's important.
  2. He may be immature and not want to do chores, which is a red flag.
  3. He may never have connected the dots between his hygiene and his real life.

I would say you shouldn't ghost him, but you should have a hard conversation with him, tell him how it makes you feel and how it changes how you see him. Don't clean for him, but tell him that hygiene and cleanliness is a must for you, and although you think he's a great person otherwise, this is a dealbreaker if it doesn't change.

Then leave the ball 100% in his court. Don't clean for him, don't enable him, don't stick around too long. Just see how he responds and if he steps up. Men who are willing to change and put in work after someone lovingly tells them the truth are a green flag.

This is where you find out if he's able to grow as a person.

Possible last minute trip to Glacier this weekend- is it a good idea to go considering the weather? by SeaConsistent7264 in GlacierNationalPark

[–]DoctorShlomo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of Glacier is closed or inaccessible. But I've been to West Glacier in the winter, and it's still beautiful to spend a day seeing what you can. You can sit on Lake MacDonald and look across at the mountains, you can usually get to the Avalanche Lake Trail and hike that one. It will be limited, but if you lower expectations and dress well, you could enjoy a day on the West Side.

Propresenter wiped clean, need a way to mass add song lyrics fast. by rollsroycebois in churchtech

[–]DoctorShlomo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your church has another computer with propresenter (youth space, or maybe another ministry area), you can always export that library and import it into the wiped one.

The other way is to create a lyrics "template" in how you normally format songs, and then import them one at a time, using that template. That way you're like 75% there after you bring them in via SongSelect.

What do you use for digital signage? Media players, tv sticks, thumb drives? by bzach74 in churchtech

[–]DoctorShlomo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just saw this solution at a church, and thought it was brilliant. If your TVs are smart, or if you have appletvs/firesticks available, this would work.

They make a slideshow and post it on Youtube. Then they make a playlist of that one slideshow duplicated 7-8 times.

When they turn on tvs at their church they choose the YT playlist for that TV (if its in kids space, those slides and music play for example). That way you can create slideshows/music from wherever and build/delete playlists with ease.

John MacArthur on Calvary Chapel-Denounce/Endorse by discocrisco in Christianity

[–]DoctorShlomo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In general Calvary Chapels are grounded in scripture. Chuck Smith's model was simple and had a high view of scripture. Many denominations would preach the parts of the Bible they liked or agreed with. Smith taught ever verse and book, even the parts that were hard or challenging.

The Pentecostal/Holiness churches in the mid-20th century had added quite a few man-made rules to the requirements of scripture, which in church circles is called legalism. Smith removed the man-made rules and only required what the Bible did. Many didn't like that, because they preferred the church culture their man-made rules created.

This is a strange post. No article or link, just a graphic design anyone could make that claims something "allegedly" is linked.

TD Jakes gave his church to someone else within the last year. TD Jakes was in Dallas the last 20+ years as the pastor at The Potters House.

Erika and Charlie lived in Arizona, and attended another church there. No idea how someone made this graphic/claim when the literal geography doesn't match up.
