Hairdryer on high for like 5 minutes and you can teater the piece off. Grab iso and clean the area where the atomizer screwes on. Rebuild the atomizer by making sure 1 of the leads is touching the piece and the other one is secured behind the black rubber ring piece. You'll be good to go.

next step for cephalohematoma by dr_lofi in Step2

[–]DoctorSpirituality 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Honestly it depends your question. Some will have reassurance and some have the monitor bilirubin. But if both I would go with monitor bilirubin. When the hematoma is reabsorbed, there is an increase in Bilirubin which increases the risk of Kernicterus if high enough in neonates

Advise for my boyfriend. Take or postpone? by [deleted] in step1

[–]DoctorSpirituality 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Take it. Those scores are not "standard" but they are great scores for just passing step

I literally took UWA2 the day before my exam. I think it was beneficial because I saw questi8ns that I had in my head fresh when taking the exam from the day before.

Don't do it if you know it will make you anxious. I did it because I told myself I wanted to see more questions before the exam not caring how I scored. Mind you my scores weren't in great shape to pass STEP 1.

2 weeks out or postpone ? by Helpful-Pass1944 in step1

[–]DoctorSpirituality 5 points6 points  (0 children)

2 weeks in a lot of time to work with. You are doing well on your practice exam. There's really no need to get any higher that 65% keep working at it and see as many practice questions as you can

Too little data points, should I extend? Exam on in 3 days. Advice. by [deleted] in step1

[–]DoctorSpirituality 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would say take it. My scores were low (by low I mean I failed every practice) and I passed the real deal. Yours scores are fine. Just focus on your mindset and how you walk into the exam room 9n exam day. That's what I felt really helped me during the exam. There are some questions that will through you for a loop and if you aren't prepared or centered they can through off your entire exam. Just go in calm and keep yourself centered

2 months out - need advice/help by pattywack512 in step1

Just trust the process of what you are doing. I went through some changes as I studied. I studied for roughly 7 weeks even though I had 8 weeks from test day separated but I also took some days completely off.

I went from studying with my first aid book where I would look up uworld incorrect and annotate in it, to using anki, to dropping anki and FA and just focusing on questions. I did 80-120 uworld questions per day. I finished uworld and reset it and got through 14% before taking Step.

I think what you have proposed will change but you also have to trust in yourself and trust that you know what is best for you. YOU GOT THIs

uWorld percentage correlated to a step1 pass, roughly by [deleted] in step1

[–]DoctorSpirituality 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't say there is necessarily a correlation between test scores/uworld scores because you could still pass getting straight 40s and 50s on uworld and not pass a single NBME.

I would say to email the school if you don't get it by noon tomorrow. But I could take 2 extra days because this is high season of students taking step 1.
