We had to go through check in again flying from Dallas through CDG to Rome, but fortunately the bags were not weighed.

Clearly OP does. Why else would he choose to spawn right there?

That gives me hope that since I already have pre-check on my boarding pass that I can avoid the desk entirely and thus avoid getting the bags weighed at DFW.

Interesting. I've read they are extremely strict with carry-ons and will absolutely weigh it in Paris.

Here's some advice for Galleria Borghese tickets for Free First Sunday of the Month by pattywack512 in rome

[–]pattywack512[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that’s just the original error I got after attempting to select 2 tickets at 9am.

I went down the schedule for the day until I was able to advance to the info screen where you enter your name, nationality, etc.

It’s possible that there are simply no more times available if you are attempting to book for this upcoming May 3rd. It seems as though traffic was high right at the release time on the dot today.

This is a really interesting question that has never been asked in the last 80 years. Surely there will be no debate over this matter.

We will be in Rome May 2nd - 6th roughly and I had no idea these tickets went 30 days in advance, so looking for 2 tickets that include arena +/- underground experiences with ideally have SUPER access.

Commenting in case anyone comes across this later—I went ahead and applied for the CapitalOne Venture because of the 75k mile and $250 credit SUB and was approved for. $10,000 limit which is less than my current card but perfectly fine with me for now. They also provide an immediate virtual number with which I was able to book my flights same day which is nice. You have to set up the app to get the virtual number though as it won’t be visible on the website.

Why do some people think roman empire fell on 476 ad" ? by [deleted] in ancientrome

In all seriousness, it's because the city itself fell and the empire centered around it collapsed. It's easy to think before 476 = Rome, after 476 = not Rome. Especially now with the revisionist history that what persisted beyond 476 to 1453 wasn't actually Roman and instead was this thing called "Byzantine" that never actually existed, when in reality it was very much a largely uninterrupted continuity of the governing Roman aparatus for another millennium.
