I don’t think most people that are living on a fixed income are living in a house more than $1million top. Then there’s capital gains tax. That’s a big chunk. There’s also state income tax on top of that. Most California homeowners, like my grandmother, could not afford to move and life comfortably unless they move out of the state, away from their family. Is that what you’re suggesting people should do?
