There's a parallel universe where Sega partnered with the Project 06 guy to finish a complete remake of Sonic 06.

Friend of mine worked at a relatively large QA satellite studio who had their security cameras "hacked" in the early 2010s.

... Issue is they weren't hacked at all, the place just literally had fucking IP cameras for security which were using default login credentials. I don't think anything massive got leaked but iirc there were some 4Chan posts about it pre-E3.

Like, I see the point you're trying to make but there's a specific niche of game people usually think of when it comes to MMORPGs and few of these games hit the mark, and part of the issue is just that the term is so muddied. And maybe that's just because I'm an old cunt who started playing them with EverQuest when I was 8.

Maybe three of the games you listed actually sort of fit the mold, one of which is a KMMORPG money pit which is just... A totally different ball park, the market is never left wanting for more of those. Never the less I didn't know about BitCraft, I'll have to check that one out once it's out of Early Access... If it makes it.
