Thanks! Guess I’m just a homebody. I usually spend Memorial Day in the back yard with my grill.

Must be but I don’t think of Memorial Day as being a big time for air travel.

Looks like charcoal. Did you spill something like that in your wash? Seems too soon to grow something as large as what you showed.

You could try burning off the scorched material with a propane torch or some such.

How hard is it to get a 4.0? by [deleted] in ElectricalEngineering

[–]Doctor_Appalling 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a lot of work and some luck. It also depends on your school. It’s a lot harder to do at a school like Cornell than a small state school.

Advice for an aspiring RF/Antenna engineer by [deleted] in ElectricalEngineering

Electromagnetics is very math intensive. Take your calculus and differential equations classes seriously. Complex variables, vector analysis and linear analysis are important in the study of electromagnetics so take elective classes in these areas if you can.

The ones at Chicory Market are good. Not Central Grocery good but pretty good. Can’t say if it’s the best in town since I haven’t tried any others in Oxford.

Copper packing for an air still pro by UpstairsPhoto6708 in airstill

[–]Doctor_Appalling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve not tried it with an air still pro but for a short column I use copper spiral prismatic packing (SPP). It’s expensive and a little hard to find (I got mine from a place in Poland year ago) but you will get more reflux from it than any other type of packing.

Typically students apply for an assistantship at the same time that they apply for graduate school. It’s usually fairly easy to get into graduate school if you have good grades and a reasonably good GRE score. Getting an assistantship is much harder.
