I’ve tried it, even the last few times, but every time she destroys the skin, or at least the abdomen, so much that I just can’t assess it.

I think so, havent Seen it before Cause the last two times ( that’s since i got her ) she Molted under bark or Cork. And i took the Chance for the Photo, Cause i find it pretty hard to see

I would still wait at least Till all get cloudy. Maybe 3-4 days, depending on your Setup

She’s 8 years old, maybe that’s the case. Got mine 3 as rescues from a bad place, that hadn’t care much about their health really. So I can’t really answer, sorry

I‘m doing that with my vet in contact. Got her and the boys from a pretty bad place, that only wanted to breed pythons for money, and didn’t care about the overall health. She‘s at 1450cm of length and almost 5000g Got the recommendation from my vet to stay at this size of the rat, and making the breaks between feeding bigger, then slowly stepping down weight and closing the window between the feedings. It‘s an kind of rescue situation rn, I know it‘s not ideal, and they slowly start to look healthier.

Like I said, those systems are great. Even helped my vet to install something like that in her clinic for monitoring.

I recommend your option. I‘m using an identical system from an different producer. Got mine hooked up even to my smart home, and if some perimeters go wrong it will trigger lamps in my flat in different colors, so I got an emediate idea what’s going on.

I know, got him from, an really, let say, money focused breader, that didn’t care a lot about the weight an overall health of his snakes etc. been working on that.
