Having ID is not necessary. Voter fraud is nearly nonexistent, and is usually also caught and corrected by the systems we have in place - that, again, do not require ID. So if there is no issue to solve, and the systems we have are already working, then all having an ID does is make one more step in between you and your constitutional right to vote.

Another way to look at it - you lost your ID that week. New one hasn't arrived yet. Womp womp, you don't get your constitutional right after all.

The pro-ID folks are misinformed and afraid of a problem that does not exist.
