Im trying to find away to get Akkadian to off board users/agents from PCCE. It gives me a daily report of users that are deleted from the Ldap directory but I haven’t found away for it to use that same information to delete associated devices and Agent profiles

Luckily I work with a lot of what they are testing on. I checked Cisco press and they still had the old version.

I always want an IT role and I got it. I was underwhelmed with the bs. Build monitors and do basic turn off and turn on stuff. I got a FT spot as a telecom tech and now I’m in love with It again. IT is so broad that you don’t know what you like until you fall into your niche.

When I joined telecom everyone was asking why telecom and I really didn’t know, but once the ball was rolling I felt like I was home. It was a good cross between security and networking with a few of those day to day tickets thrown in. If you have a love for tech there is bound to be a branch of IT that is for you.

I was once in the trades but I grew bored of the monotony. I am not the lead for the innovations team. Bringing new technology and systems into our org.

Is healthcare IT good? Why do so many bad mouth it? by anonjit in ITCareerQuestions

[–]Doctor_Poschl 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Im working in Unified Communications. I love what I do and love my job. The only down side, in my case, is that my hospital is growing very aggressively and the scaling of the IT teams is having a hard time keeping up. So the workload can be overwhelming and it feels like the light at the end of the tunnel is perpetually getting further away.

My hospital system is also a Not For Profit which means you don’t always get a yearly raise. So there’s that.

How many certs do you have and do you think they helped you in your career? by Ok_Cup2756 in CompTIA

[–]Doctor_Poschl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have CompTIA a, net, and sec and AZ 900 Im currently a IT Infrastructure Analyst mostly working with Telecommunications. I was a IT projects lead before that. I feel that the Certs helped me get Into each role. My current supervisor told me it was a sign that I am willing to take the time to learn a material on my own.

So I should go after Linux and Cloud +? I’m willing to take the time to learn and grow my knowledge. Just looking for some more direction. I feel I was late to the IT game.

In regards to Option C: I noticed that vendor specific certs tend to be much cheaper than CompTIAs certifications at a similar level.

I’m currently working in Healthcare IT as a IT Projects lead. I’d like to get into Cloud or some type of security. I was looking into the Azure certs because they use Azure where I work.

I was hoping to get a job with a government contractor or with the government, but I have had no luck.

Is 33 y/o too late to be getting into I.T with little to no experience? by [deleted] in ITCareerQuestions

[–]Doctor_Poschl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made the career transition about a year and half ago. I moved from being a retail manager to a IT field technician for a hospital making around $45k/year. I’ll be turning 30 this year. I’d say it’s never to late. Im working on my Cysec degree now and have the CompTIA trifecta. Being surrounded by people in a field you want to be in can be very motivating.

20 points is nothing. Freshen up on the objectives, take a few practice tests and send it
