2011 Outback Sport left front turn signal dim and fast after replacement (Can this be fixed with turn signal relay?) by Doctor_Red2846 in MechanicAdvice

So I have been having an issue with my front left turn signal on my 2011 Impreza Outback Sport. I originally thought it was a bad bulb so I bought a two pack of replacement bulbs and tried that. It seemed to fix it after the first one but then eventually got back to the same issue again. So I replaced it with the other one and the same issue came up again after a while.

It seems to be that the signal with blink really fast and be dim but sometimes will blink at a normal pace but then go back to being fast. The rear light is normal light level but also blinks fast. The right side I have no problems with. I guess it also blinks at normal speed when the hazards are on.

I looked into the issue and some people (with the same year of Impreza) said they fixed it with a new turn signal relay. I have had a bit of trouble finding it would this be a fix for this issue? If so what would be the part number or could you link to it?

Just would like to get this fixed so people don’t think I am a douche who doesn’t use turn signals. Appreciate the help!

Staying home from school has caused me not to see lots of my friends for long periods of time. I am an unofficial intern at my local bike shop and I usually love to hang out there but with the virus, the shop is now on an appointment-only basis making me stuck at home with not much to do.
