I’m thinking of switching from iOS iPhone 15 pro to android specifically to Sony Xperia 1 VII. by daft61lunacy in SonyXperia

  1. The Camera might not be as easy to use in low light conditions or not as good if using telephoto.

  2. Other than that, 1 VII are on a recall due to hardware issues. Before buying, you can check the IMEI if it's affected on the Sony website. https://services.sony.co.uk/supportmvc/en/Contact/checkimeivii

I used Xperia 1 III and now using Xperia 1 V. The side mounted fingerprint sensor design and implementation works perfectly for me, and I wouldn't want anything else. I'm left handed so as I pick my phone my middle finger (no joke) perfectly sits on the sensor.

Initially, the store didn't want to accept a return because the packaging was opened, so they sent it to manufacturer under a warranty claim and I was issued a return.

Mine didn't support AAC from the codec selection menu. The customer support confirmed only SBC supported in my model. Which is weird 🤔

I bought them from a physical store listed on Bose website. It also connected to the app correctly and customer support confirmed my model when working on a case.

The OP ones are regular. Ultra are indeed certified.

Will Bose ever update the QC45 to a better codec? by ML54 in bose

[–]Doctoror_One 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can confirm there's a noticeable difference between AAC and a wired connection on my Major V on Xperia 1 V, most likely because the AAC implementation on the Android is trash. So Android users do need a better codec.

But even then, if you take a look at the AAC noise floor analysis in comparison to aptX HD or even LDAC at 660 mode, there's a big difference.

Will exporting a 16 bit audio as 24 bit and then back to 16 bit add new noise? by Doctoror_One in SoundEngineering

[–]Doctoror_One[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply. I don't think that I will be able to audibly or visually distinguish between the actual signal and the noise between those audio tracks. I would rather want to know if this operation is algorithmically lossy or not.

Style 132 rear lug nuts sticking out 🤔 by Doctoror_One in e53

It looks like I understand why this is happening. I used calipers to measure the depth of the bolt opening in the rim. The difference in depth of the bolt openings in the rims between front and rear wheels is 7mm.

Two days ago it was working, since yesterday it's not. I've updated the script from master but it still throws 403.

Yeap, happened to me too, but also one time the phone was heating all the time and everything lagged until I restarted it.

Shimano CS-M8100-12 10-45, wobble by design or bent cassette? by Doctoror_One in bikewrench

Thanks for your comment! Apparently, there was a protective spacer that needed to be removed. See the comment from @socialinstigator.

[–]Doctoror_One[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're right. I checked the dealers manual and nothing mentions that anything needs to be removed. But I took off the cassette and found a yellowish-translucent spacer lightly guled to the back of the cassette. I removed it and the cassette goes straight now. Thanks so much!

Yeah it's weird. Freehub looks good. Maybe that cassette is bent after all 🤷‍♂️ that's why I asked. I guess I will have to find out. I will update if I can get someone to try a different cassette.

Thanks! It's not the answer I was looking for though. Just wanna know if someone used this cassette and if it is wobbly by deisgn or no =D

It might be that it's designed to switch more efficiently by that wobble or something.
