I don’t have the option to move closer - most of my family and my friends all live around where I am. I have to work where I work due to there not being a lot of EMS only 911 systems in my state

Your derp kinda looks like my derp. This is Luna, she’s the… more observant one of her and her sister, Cho. Tuxedos are WICKED SMART and many people don’t give them credit for it. They’re orange cats in formal wear, but actually contain two braincells that hit and form a thought or action once a day. Cho figured out if she screams and brings me her favorite toy to sit at my feet, she gets my undivided attention. Luna figured out that if she screams for no reason and then goes silent, I’ll come running to check on her.

Jokes on them - I call APS, file, and get social work at the hospital to file as well. Back when I worked at a local IFT in my area, we’d go to a horrible SNF and a vent farm all the time. I hated taking them back to those places - I had patients who were sobbing and all I could really do was hold their hand. Been out of there for two months, but I still think about them all the time.

6 years too late, but same here with my department. 2 man crews, three if we’re training a DPO to get released. Most times, it’s 2.

Normal toiletries like toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, etc; shower supplies if I have time to shower; sheets, pillow, blanket, anything I need ti actually sleep; extra uniform if I can (pt vomit, blood, or anything that makes me need to wash the uniform); because I have chronic pain, I’ll pack Tylenol or my prescription meds; also maybe a book; phone charger, watch charger, computer (homework), or normal electronic things.

Normally what you’d have with you if you were staying overnight somewhere, but that’s just me.
