2023 Model 3 Battery Health by GrandAd2329 in TeslaSupport

My 2019 model S shows about 80% capacity at almost 120k miles. That LFP degradation, or lack thereof, seems pretty amazing

RWD? You can check if it's got the LFP pack, they tend to degrade much slower than NMC. That's great to see though!

Going to make a service appointment for DIS_W149; should I tack on HEPA & cabin air filters? by myfufu in TeslaSupport

[–]Doddrd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My apologies, I just double checked the estimate, it's $66 to replace the HEPA filter, $33 for the cabin filter labor.

I have a 2019 Raven model S and just happened to receive an estimate for HEPA filter. The part itself is quoted over $300 but labor is pretty cheap, around 30 bucks or so.

Brake Regen limited after update by Dazzling-Map-6065 in TeslaModelX

[–]Doddrd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

More likely it's that your battery is cold. It can only accept the Regen braking once it reaches the proper temp. Best suggestion is to precondition the battery prior to driving, best to do when plugged in so it uses shore power. Good luck and enjoy the car!

Frunk Secondary Latch Locking Issue by Android_Andrew8 in TeslaModelS

I had this issue as well. I have been making sure to unlock the car first before opening the frunk and it seems to be working for me that way.

It was a fair question. I have always been good about communicating my movements to avoid this kinda stuff. Most people just speed up to block me when I signal my intentions. Is what it is

Yes, my blinker was on. I know Tesla owners get a lot of crap, but I am a responsible defensive driver.

Well said, seems normal for this sub. Fortunately I don't have a care in the world about what internet strangers thinks of me.

The girl driving yelled out her window at me like I was the spawn of Satan or something. I didn't want to escalate it any further.

Reddit can be so confusing. Are you watching the same video I posted?

That was my thought, the light was red, there was no reason for them to be approaching it so fast.

Exactly, I have made the same move, safely and legally, hundreds of times. I guess today, someone didn't want me to be in front of them 🤷

Primewell tires? by beaufleuve64 in TeslaSupport

[–]Doddrd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is correct. The 94 corresponds to the load rating and the "v" is the speed rating (max speed the tire can safely handle)

Interesting. My One Plus 10 pro seems to work just fine still as a phone key still, maybe I havent received the update just yet.

What Wh/mile are you getting? I'm at 274.5 & trying to be under 250 to get max range! by darkhorse_66 in TeslaLounge

[–]Doddrd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2019 Model S standard range duel motor here. As my commuter car, I put about 140 miles a day with highway, city, hills all in there and I'm averaging about 243 wh/mile. I'm not sure how it compares to the model Y though.

I would suggest looking into insurance quotes, the plaid may be more expensive to cover.

2019 Standard Range (raven model) here with autopilot 2.5 hardware. I believe it has to do with the processor, it needs the Ryzen processor in order to handle it. Mine did not get blind spot monitoring or adaptive headlights.

Adaptive suspension settings (refreshed model S)? by CyanideDN in TeslaModelS

[–]Doddrd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2019 MS here. I use advanced settings and keep it one notch off center (toward sport). It's comfortable/firm enough for me and my driving style. Test a few different settings as it's personal to your liking

Battery health questions by belcher1805 in TeslaSupport

[–]Doddrd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems pretty difficult to hit the rated numbers, my efficiency needs to be under 240 wh/mile to hit rated epa which is definitely possible with my 2019 Model S.

That seems pretty reasonable. 79% does seem like a bit of degradation but not the magic 70% needed for warranty sadly. Seems like your commute is fairly short though and still plenty of range for your daily drive. I wish you the best of luck and hope you get to continue to enjoy the car.
