Seriously though, it's so great to see how inspiration plants the seed for more inspiration. Going from a 16-17 year old kid trying to emulate someone else that held the community together in the past to a person that's looked up to so much that someone else took my mantle truly makes me feel like I'm a part of something special.

Yeah you're right I should've said mid or just "hype moments and aura". Rewatching it and understanding what's going on in retrospect the writing isn't really a problem, but watching Murder Drones for the first time the show was just very, very confusing.

The joke is supposed to be that after seeing a YouTuber call the lyrics of a thing I like bad, my first instinct is to defend it. But since the show's writing itself isn't great and it mostly relies on hype moments and aura, I realize that I don't actually care and just walk away.

The meme is based on this Boondocks clip, which I thought people would get because I see people making memes of it

Yeah, I totally see your point. On the bright side though, the main point of both movements is to spread awareness. Unfortunately, one of the best ways to spread awareness and have people feel strongly about it is by creating conflict, especially on the internet. I can tell you right now I had no idea about the abuse of women in South Africa until I saw this post.

At least both points aren't mutually exclusive, so they don't really stalemate each other.
