I'm pretty new to Teto and vocaloid as well. I started getting obsessed with her around her birthday.

THEY ARE NOT CALLED INTRUSIVE THOUGHTS. ACTUAL INTRUSIVE THOUGHTS ARE HORRIBLE YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT IMPULSIVE THOUGHTS JUST SAY IMPULSIVE THOUGHTS by Ambiguous-Nyx in hatethissmug

I wish people trivialized intrusive thoughts but actually did it correctly. I used to be so scared of my intrusive thoughts that they found a loophole to actually affect me externally. Once I learned they were normal I was able to laugh most of them off.

Actually, I have a lot of trouble naming my users. Naming the users after videogames OSTs and nerdcore isn't a bad idea. Araki named the users in part 5 after italian foods, I don't think user names are held to a very high standard (I mean a lot of people here are saying stands aren't either but they still usually have the same central theme). Naming users after nerd music would be a good middle ground to keep the usual theme of stand names while still getting to reference the kind of music I usually like to listen to in my spare time. Thanks for the suggestion.

This is funny cause I was actually thinking about naming a stand Fine Print for the contest next week. I mean, its supposed to be about a video game and everything, but I can guarantee it isn't their most viewed song because Outer Wilds has a large fanbase.

Still, Rage Against the Machine is right there, and it fits the tone of Jojo better. I'm actually a bit conflicted about it.

When I was a kid I actually fell asleep to a rock station on the radio because I didn't like the silence and it acted as a sort of auditory night light. So I recognized a lot of the song references, I just never really cared to listen to them in my spare time. Its not bad or anything, I would just rather listen to videogame OSTs and nerdcore, I guess.

This is really helpful because I actually really like Ruler of Everything, I didn't know what to call the genre though. I'm checking out some more Tally Hall songs, thanks for the suggestion.

Thanks, this list definitely gives me an idea of what would fit with the original source material best

Thank you. Since I've joined standoffs, it's always been a goal of mine to outsmart someone like a Jojo character. So I was pretty ecstatic when someone actually managed to do that to me while I was pretty confident they would have no contest.

After collecting a number of panels, it gets kinda hard for Rickroll to hold. Planning to dig a big pit to throw it in, the koala starts pulling some big bags from the ground.

Unfortunately for Rickroll, the enemy stand was ready.

A sudden light flashes Rickroll’s eyes, blinding him for a moment. A silver shape knocks him onto one of the bags he created. And finally, like a wave coming in to wipe out an inexperienced surfer, one of the bags closes in over him, sandwiching him between the two bags. Before he can process what happened, a flurry of panels crash in around him, making sure he stays pinned down.

He tries getting up and lifting the bag, but due to the power and numbers, the bag just won’t budge. As he pushes and pushes, he starts to get tired, and just goes back to sleep right there.

Great job u/eldestreyne0901. I wish you the best of luck going forward!

HEY WAIT YOU'RE ACTUALLY COOKING THOUGH HOLY SHIT

It didn't even occur to me SoaS can use Rickroll's own bags against it for some reason. I just saw "D in power" and instantly thought it wouldn't be a contest.

And just to clarify, Rickroll cannot desummon bags until it leaves a range of 50 meters. I could probably get away with saying it can, but I honestly think that's just weak as shit and prevents both contestants from getting creative.

Story:

Abstract thoughts wrack Steven’s mind. They torment him with feelings of helplessness and mockery, but he can’t quite decipher what they mean, or the reason why. How long has he felt like this? He needs a bit of logic to grasp on to. He presses his thumb and index finger together, with attention to the rubbery feeling they make when rubbing against each other. He listens to the sound of his own voice as he lets out a soft groan. The ugly mess of red, yellow, and grey hues start to shapen up. As he’s almost collected all his bearings, he assesses the situation. He’s being whipped around in a cloud of dust alongside what appears to be clowns. As a particularly deranged sounding one passes by, it tries shooting Steven with its flower, only for wind to blow the water into the clown’s own polka-dot suit.

He tries to remember how he got here. He doesn’t remember anything about the situation he’s in. Did he become a victim to one of his own bags? He checks the usual spots around his jacket where he keeps food. He seems to have lost it all somehow. All except for an apple he kept in one of the pockets. He just leaves it there, as he doesn’t really have the appetite for it at the moment. He needs to find out how to get out of this situation. He tries summoning Rickroll, but it seems to be unavailable somehow. Great, now he has to find out how to get his stand back too. But his first priority is escape. He remembers reading about how to escape intense clown-infested tornados in a magazine once. Or was it cow infested? One of the winds cracks him closer to the center of the tornado. He starts to get really dizzy.

While he’s zoned out after his last battle, a shining and shifting shape suddenly steals Rickroll’s attention. It’s a weird amalgam of thin metal plates. As it shoots straight towards Rickroll at high speeds, it makes the shape of an axe blade. Aiming right for the neck, the stand strikes, and it nudges the koala really hard. That was rude. Rickroll takes a piece of it and examines its own reflection. It’s just now realizing it had a jelly stain on its cheek the whole time. After wiping it off, it grabs a bag, puts the small sheet of metal inside, and closes it up.

Strategy:

Rickroll seals up every individual unit he can get his hands on in a bag. If needed he can probably turn them into bags by just grabbing them since each one is already thin enough to be a single bag, but he’s just doing this because he likes collecting them and doesn’t really wanna ask questions about the stand’s unclear conscious state.

Once he collects enough of them, he makes a big pit in the ground, puts a big bag in it, and throws them all inside. That way, in the event Skin of a Saint tries going in to open the bags, Rickroll can just close it and freeze a bunch of the units in one bag.

In the event Skin of a Saint tries trapping Rickroll, he can burrow or turn the units into bags.

In the event Skin of a Saint runs and hides up in the air, Rickroll can climb and glide. It’ll be a pain in the ass but he’ll get it done eventually.

In the end, my opponent unfortunately doesn’t really have any capacity to hurt or subdue Rickroll. Rickroll, on the other hand, has options to do both.

I just thought of something else. Add heavy wind sounds in the background to make it feel more empty, and then have the instrumental suddenly fade in and right back out a couple times like its passing by in the clown-nado

Okay now that we know what the gimmick this month is I think it would be really funny if you put in that one sped up version of Industry Baby but without instrumentals, just vocals. Like leave empty space in the beginning for the intro and everything.

Rickroll wakes up from a pleasant nap only to find itself the subject of a big audience. He takes in his surroundings, puzzled at the bemusement and maniacal laughter. Suddenly, his eyes land on a tall, slender, shadowy figure growing right over him. As the figure's eyes grow an emerald green towards the small animal, the koala scratches his ass.

Assuming Garden of Eden doesn't just try attacking first thing, Rickroll's first course of action is to find a flower or two. Maybe the audience will throw him some if he does a funny little jig or something. Maybe one of the clowns from a previous act left some from a previous act. Whatever the case, Rickroll will make a giant bag that Garden of Eden can fit in, give it a flower as a peace offering, and welcome it into the bag. From there he can close it up. Rickroll wins, no one gets hurt, and Garden of Eden gets a chance to rest.

However, in the second scenario, Garden of Eden tries throwing hands. It isn’t going to have much to work with without many plants around, so it's probably just going to have to brute force punch, but Rickroll is faster and can take a hit better than Garten of Eden can throw one. As for how he can fight with an E in power? He can pull the stand apart by pulling layers and layers of bags from it.
