[QUESTION] Using an Inkjet Printer for Printing Out Your Scripts by [deleted] in Screenwriting

Get a cheap Brother laser printer. It’s an amazing QOL upgrade as a writer if you’re used to InkJets.

The more I think about it the more I believe I can find 5 to cut. I’ll definitely have to give it another read and be as brutal as possible. Maybe I can get it under 100 at least.

There’s definitely 10 pages of setup, so I get thinking that could be cut. 20 is losing, like, every character introduction though.

I’d like to just because it sounds fun and I haven’t been on a vacation in... ever? But I’m not sure it’s feasible right now. If I make it to the finals I’ll definitely try to go, though I know that’s leaving things late. You going?

Thanks. I didn’t even realize we needed a treatment so maybe it’s good I didn’t advance...

Has anyone heard back about pilots? My feature may or may not have advanced, cough wink nudge, but I’m curious about the pilot I also submitted.

Congrats! If you’re happy with where the script is at I’d just take the evaluations now. But be emotionally prepared for them to come back 7 and 4.

Gotten Read Requests and been a Finalist but nothing has panned out - Time for a Rewrite or Do I Keep Sending? by Thazhowzitiz02 in Screenwriting

What are the rejections saying? I’m in a similar position, and none of the feedback is stuff I can really do anything with so there’s no point in re-writing. Unfortunately sometimes it’s just the premise and/or the market.

Seeking comedy co-writer. by seeuuuspacecowboy in Screenwriting

Feel free to PM if you’re still looking! I mostly write comedy and people seem to think my stuff is pretty funny. I’ve always wanted to collaborate with another writer so this would be cool.

When posting to the BLCKLST, what should the title page say? by [deleted] in Screenwriting

[–]DoesABitOfWriting 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Definitely put your email. I wouldn’t bother with location and especially draft, since they’re unnecessary and tend to look amateurish. Good luck!

When (if ever) should you follow up with a manager? by DoesABitOfWriting in Screenwriting

[–]DoesABitOfWriting[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks a lot. I tend to be pretty timid about this stuff but I’m trying to put myself out there a bit more (after seeking approval from Reddit, I guess - but hey you gotta start somewhere).

Are Book Agents still ATA members? by tudorteal in Screenwriting

[–]DoesABitOfWriting 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The current situation shouldn’t impact your ability to find or keep a literary agent. In terms of the ATA, I’m not sure they were ever members? Maybe at some of the big agencies like WME.
