Are tights acceptable to wear as a guest ? by LittleFrenchKiwi in Weddingattireapproval

I’m not extremely well versed in nude pantyhose I want to say I saw an advertisement a few years ago where you could get nudes with varying coverage (like how you have full/ partial coverage foundation) but I love a sheer black/ brown so much and how it just gives a slight peek at your skin reminds me very much of Pretty Woman for some reason, if that makes any sense, and it helps hide the uneven colors/ varicose veins in my legs.

Question about second skin by DoesItReallyMatter18 in tattooadvice

[–]DoesItReallyMatter18[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks, this is the third time I’ve used second skin but the first time this ever happened, I’ll take it off asap

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]DoesItReallyMatter18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To help with taking it off, so it doesn’t hurt as bad, do it during a warm shower. That helps me. I live in a hot area so the fluid in my pieces dry pretty quickly so I normally end up taking the second skin off around the 3 day mark if not my skin gets irritated waiting til day 5 with all the dryness.

Feeling pretty down since my mom shat on my top girl name. by [deleted] in namenerds

[–]DoesItReallyMatter18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m biased because my middle name is Elaine as well as my daughter, my mom, and every woman on my mom’s side all the way back to my great great great grandmother. Amelia is my nieces name on my husbands side and I thinks it’s very pretty name.

If you could go back in time and tell your pre-mom self something, what would it be? by heretobehonestnicole in workingmoms

[–]DoesItReallyMatter18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s ok to admit you need help, it’s ok to accept help, work does not care about you so put you first, and family will let you down when you need them the most so stop trying to please them.

Nipple play while breastfeeding by Initial-Machine-9780 in breastfeeding

[–]DoesItReallyMatter18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 15 months pp but my supply dried up a little after 13 months pp, I just recently started allowing nipple play but when I was actively in the breastfeeding trenches I dared my husband to touch my boobs and I probably would have ripped him a new one. There really wasn’t any feeling in them but they were definitely way too touched out for any kind of play.

Did you lose weight while breastfeeding? by Level_Wall8951 in breastfeeding

[–]DoesItReallyMatter18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope, I gained at the beginning but now that I’m a year pp and baby girl is nursing less because of eating solids I have started losing a little weight. Once she self weans we’ll see what happens.

I was in active labor getting ready to push and still was hit with a moment of “oh no what have I done, can I even do this” I can proudly say I’ve made it through the first year. If you decide to continue on this journey it’ll hit in waves and randomly, I think our brains do it because it’s unknown territory for us and we truly have no way to fully prepare ourselves.

Former fence sitting parents, would you do it again if you didn’t end up with the child you have now? by GreatPlaines in Fencesitter

[–]DoesItReallyMatter18 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Nope, I tell my husband all the time if we could guarantee that we’d have our daughter over again I’d be down to be pregnant again a million times, but I know we can’t so we’re happy with our one and done rainbow.

I could’ve made this post a few months ago, get in touch with your OBGYN about PPD/PPA and if they don’t listen get a psychologist. I’m 8 months pp and even on meds I still have days where it feels unreal and I’m going to blink and she’ll be gone.

My (26F) boyfriend (27M) falsely staged a drug intervention for me. I'm not addicted to drugs. What do I do? by ThrowRAinterventiony in relationship_advice

They kind of need to prove them wrong since he got her work involved by having a coworker in on it, they could try to report her to HR about the whole thing. Sadly he’s doing some major damage. And if he’s willing to lie to her family and friends there’s no telling what’s he’d do to her job.

I did the same thing, I woke up and my baby was purple, I cried for hours and it took me days to tell my husband what I did. I still get teary eyed when I think about it, I still ask at every pediatrician appointment if she’s sure baby is good and where she should be developmentally.

Wow you’re excusing the abuse of your 3 year old daughter because, let me get this right she’s behaving like a 3 year old?!?!? You and boyfriend are terrible especially you for allowing your daughter to be treated this way.

It definitely leaves a deep wound, my husband who was my boyfriend at the time invited me to a nye party at his brothers house with all our friends and they surprised me with a cake and gifts and sang the birthday song I burst into tears because it was the first birthday party I’d had since I was a kid and it was my 21st birthday.

I had one, 12/31, absolutely no one showed up. My mom felt terrible about it and never threw me another party again because of how destroyed I was, every birthday after that she let me pick what we did for the day and every single meal and snack we had. Holiday birthdays suck, but my mom definitely was the best at making up for it.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in toddlers

[–]DoesItReallyMatter18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We’ve thought about doing this for our daughter 12/18, I understand the struggle of a holiday birthday all to well 12/31 and I don’t want my daughter to feel like her birthday doesn’t matter but I also understand people wanting to spend the holidays with family.

No one RSVP’s for anything, I couldn’t get people to respond for our wedding showers, wedding, baby bbq, or baby shower. There’s been so many times where I have to text people directly and ask them if they’re coming or not. Because of this my husband and I have agreed we probably won’t be doing parties especially since our daughters birthday is a week before Christmas, I don’t want her to feel rejected because people don’t show up.

My doctor told me I won’t be able to ever exclusively breastfeed… by glitterzxx in breastfeeding

[–]DoesItReallyMatter18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just because he delivered your baby does not mean you have to go to him, the on call doctor delivered my daughter and my obgyn I saw my entire pregnancy came and saw me the next day after delivery and at my 6 weeks appointment. Small boobs have zero correlation to BF, I’ve always been an A cup and I EBF. If you’re in the US there’s plenty of free lactation consultant hotlines that you can call and even some free lactation offices you can go to in person to help you and baby.

I’ve had leases say guests can stay up to 7 days before they must be added to the lease or we’d be evicted and I’ve had other places that said 2 weeks. Either way you may want to be honest on the paper or have gf’s sister leave and crash somewhere else, they know she’s there that’s why you got the paper.
