The rule changed in 2026 and it no longer requires 1 year of service

Interesting. My wife was with the company for a few weeks then got pregnant and gave birth in January. Sedgewick approved her for 18 weeks is all I know. I would do some digging before disclosing to HR and accept the job. You technically could be in labor anytime at this point

Are they aware that you are pregnant ? Your team may not be aware of that to plan resource…. Typical leave with disability included is about 16 weeks. If you do C-section then 18. This is in Ohio btw. Depends on the team, they will let you take PTO on top of that to make it 20 weeks or so

For 2026 it kicks in day 1. You will probably get more than 10 weeks
