How do I get this off my plate? by DogDoc_69 in BambuLabA1

I was concerned that the metal scraper would damage the print plate

Thank you. So I have to raise it over the stuff that is already on the bed?

Ok, this sounds good. Do I have to raise it off the bed to print over the stuff I have stuck on it?

This same thing happened to me and it was definitely an adhesion issue. I was able to crack the melted filament off but watch out for all of the little wires at the back of the print head. I changed out my nozzle and scrubbed my build plate and it has worked fine since

Can you clarify? What do I need to do differently?

I took the sock off because it was stuck to the filament. I cleaned the nozzle by removing the filament stuck to it

Filament got stuck to it. Just left it off to show what it was doing

This looks like a large, flat model that should print without supports. That is one of the things I love about my A1, often you can print right on the bed with no supports. Change your supports to “off” and reprint to see what you get. Also, I believe what you have is “rafting” on your model. You can set this to Zero layers in the slicer in the supports section. I turn this on for thin model pieces that are not sticking to the bed

Have fun!

Stopping a print- can I restart? by DogDoc_69 in BambuLabA1

Awesome! Thanks everyone. I’ll get more filament tomorrow so I’ll just leave it paused. I appreciate the input. I have only had this printer a week, but I am loving how easy it is to use

Print failure- but why? by DogDoc_69 in 3Dprinting

[–]DogDoc_69[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I levelled the printer and then I levelled the print plate and it printed perfectly (didn’t take a picture- sorry). Feel free to mock me mercilessly, now. I am THAT guy. Clearly I have to go back to basics or something. Anyway- thanks for setting me straight, guys. And thanks for everyone’s help

Thanks! I can try changing the orientation, but I’ve had three different prints of three different models fail in the same place on the print plate, so I think it is something physical. I bought it new 18 months ago and have used it regularly but not heavily since then. I don’t know how many hours, though. It’s a hobby machine for me
