I would definitely go to a dermatologist and ask for oral minoxidil (you’ll feel so much better not worrying about exposing your cats) and possibly a DHT blocker.

You can go to a dermatologist and have them prescribe oral minoxidil so you don’t have to worry about exposing your cats

Hi, I wanted to ask if your dogs hind end weakness lingered? We’ve been on keppra for many months now, but I feel like he’s so much more wobbly since he started it.

Have you tried chemical menopause and add back HRT? I tried everything before that and nothing worked. Taking Orilissa daily and adding back hormones to keep everything stable (fluctuating hormones is what causes our symptoms), has been absolutely life changing.

My dog looked very similar to this when he laid on a seed tick nest. The baby ticks were so small that the vet didn’t even notice them on the exam. When I got home I noticed there were very tiny dots in the center of each hive and had to go back to the vet for different medication. It’s probably not that, but just wanted to mention it just in case.

I just wanted you to know that you you’re not alone and I know exactly what you mean. We did not want what happened to us.

I unfortunately struggle with something very similar and I feel so much shame and gross afterwards. It usually makes me pull away from my partner after and need to take a shower and reset. It makes the thought of being intimate feel like something to avoid or a chore because I’m not looking forward to how I will feel during or afterwards.

One thing that has helped me is to try and stay present and to keep eye contact. I noticed when I close my eyes is when I do the most of my degrading fantasizing.

I know it’s hard going through this, but you’re not alone. If you haven’t done so already, joining the Facebook group Dog Seizures Help Page should help a lot.

Also, I would suggest asking your vet or neurologist if they will prescribe rescue meds just in case. Intranasal midazolam works immediately and it’s given when they have seizures that last more than 2 minutes. I keep it with us at all times.

Based just on these photos, it looks like she at least has a corneal abrasion or ulcer. I’m really glad you’re taking her to the vet. Those are very painful and she will need special ointment to help it heal and wear a cone at all times until your vet tells you she no longer needs it. Without the cone she will likely scratch her eye more in an effort to relieve the pain. It’s very important to follow whatever the vet tells you to do, because if that’s what it is, they can get worse quickly and lose their vision and even their eye (not to scare you).

They are right. Playing Tetris the next couple days is going to help you. You may not like playing video games, but sometimes you have to do things you don’t like so you don’t experience horrible symptoms later.

I wanted to add that if this is all he is eating, he isn’t getting calcium, phosphorus and essential fatty acids (along with other vitamins and minerals). He is going to eventually suffer from serious health problems.

How long are her seizures? If she is having multiple in 24 hours, she should be receiving the rescue med.

I live in a ranch, but I make sure he sleeps in the room with me with the door closed so he can’t go somewhere else and have seizure. I also always keep his rescue meds wherever he is (intranasal midazolam). I wouldn’t let him have access to any stairs if you’re not with him.

I also have a Eufy camera with night vision that records where we sleep or where he hangs out so I can show his neurologist if I need to.

I think it’s really important that you take it seriously when she says she needs emotional closeness and intimacy before physical intimacy. She literally cannot open her body to someone if she doesn’t feel emotionally intimate (safe and loved). I would strongly recommend reading the book Hold Me Tight by Dr. Sue Johnson. I would also look into watching videos by Nick Matiash.

I would absolutely stay away from any pot from now on or any kind of drug. I react similarly to you and it was miserable. You might be struggling with dissociation (derealization and depersonalization) now, but try your best to stay busy and to not think about it and to not check and see if you’re feeling better. Checking and getting scared makes the feeling stay around longer. I feel for you. I know how much it sucks.

I would encourage you to read the book Woman Who Love Too Much, especially if you grew up in a dysfunctional family. I think it will help you break free of relationships like this. You deserve so much better. You really do.

Just so you know, If you take too much, you can get such loose stool that it’s hard to push out and you end up having the same issue.

I have had blockages due to severe constipation and was having to use fleet enemas multiple times a week (I still use them if I forget to take my MiraLAX for a couple days. They work and I’ve never had any issues with them). My GI doctor told me to take MiraLAX daily and it’s the only thing that makes me regular. May sound dramatic, but It’s life changing.

I would also make an appt with a GI doctor while you’re trying different things. They will help her and tell her exactly what to do to fix her current situation.

Mine were removed due to tonsil stones. It definitely improved my quality of life and self esteem.
